Beautiful playing, love the rhythm
If you manage to get the album on Spotify I'd definitely give it a good listen. Really cool to hear different music that's had so much time put into it.
Hi Jack! we have it on our website as a digital download at custysmusic.com
Le meas!
John.
Lovely playing from both.
Beautiful music
Great album - really enjoying it
Aha! My favorite banjo player! Subtle beautiful playing. Far too few recordings of Paraic around.
Does Paraic tune his banjo differently
I’ve heard him play a set all in B
And I wonder how he does that if he’s in GDAE ??
@@Paddyj1988 I don't think so, unless he was playing with someone who was playing flat pipes or Eb flute. Playing in B is no problem for a skilled player. I wonder which set of B tunes you heard?
@@MrLuridan Thanks mate! this is the set here..... I believe all three are in B..... Tried to learn them in those keys but finding it difficult to say the least in GDAE. What you think ? czcams.com/video/NDV7iXGWEWE/video.html&start_radio=1
@@Paddyj1988 Great set of tunes. You're right. He's tuned the banjo down to B...meaning his "D" string is tuned down to B to match the concertina tuning. So the four strings are C#-F#-B-E, instead of EADG. All the fingerings are the same as if you were playing the tunes in the EADG tuning, in D (which is the actual key of the tunes). Know what I mean? So you can learn the tunes in the normal tuning, playing in D, but when you tune down they sound like the key of B. Haha! I hope this makes sense.
@@MrLuridan thank you so much
I tried what you said and yes it works
Even easier to play tuned like this for some reason!
Ceol Álainn!

what the fuck
