  • An EscapeArtist review of the Alpine MotoSafe Pro ear plug set containing a pair of "Tour" and a pair of "Race" ear plugs.
These ear plugs are from noise reduction specialists Alpine and have been specifically made for motorcycling. The 2 pairs of plugs in this pack have different noise reduction qualities so that riders can vary their riding experience according to the type of riding they are doing and how much ambient sound they would like to hear.
Stay tuned until the end of the video for full purchasing details and a tip on how not to lose the inserter!

Have a set of these, find them ok, comfortable over long periods. Just make sure you insert them the right way. Push em too far in and you might have a job getting them out. I found that out the hard way. Also a little fiddly having to put them into the little plastic stick to insert them. I have a set of custom earmolds as well and while they're better at blocking wind noise, you can't keep em in as long as the Alpines as they start to irritate your ear.

Great review, I have been using both the red and black types for the last couple of years. The red are the best choice for 'naked' bike riding, whilst the black are okay on fared bikes. A lot depends on the nature and design of the faring, plus the type of crash helmet worn....I tend towards the red type to suppress wind noise on my flip-up type helmet, whilst riding a (Triumph Street Triple)...turning the volume up on my intercom system slightly. Great product, highly recommended

Excellent review, Thank You! I`ve been searching for a quality ear plug for riding my touring bike while communicating with my wife on intercom and also listening to the stereo at times. I`m gonna give these a try, I ordered a pair of the race plugs. Thanks again 😎

Did you end up getting some? What's your impression?

I did purchase a pair of the race plugs, they do work well but having to use a tool for insertion is a big negative for me. Makes it difficult to judge the proper depth of insertion plus just another thing to fumble with. Also not very good for listening to bike stereo. But they do work well at blocking out wind noise and still being able to hear other sounds such as bike exhaust

Thank you for your video. I was worried that they would not be comfortable pushing into your ears. But you seem to have no problems. I was going to get only the touring ones but due to the video decided to get the pro as my bike is a naked bike with no windscreen. Ordered a set today. Plan to use the red ones on highways and the black ones in town when going to the shops.

I have been using these now for over 12 months and find them comfortable to the point where I forget they're in my ears.

@@escapeartist7900 I got mine a few days ago and have done several trips that are 100 miles one way, so 200 miles total per trip with most of it on the highway. Only used the red ones and have to say they make a massive difference on the highway. Such a pleasure now to ride. However. In town I find them a bit too quite. Will use the black ones in town. They are far more comfortable than the silicone wax plugs or the sponge t plugs I used to use. Highly recommended.

Great review mate. I’m running earmold which I think are awesome on both my sports and adv bike. But I’m keen to give these ago and compare. Cheers.

Hey what a great review. I've been watching a couple of reviews and everyone talks about the decibel rating but nobody did what you just did. Really appreciate it. I'll be getting the Alpine sport. On another note though what is that thing around your neck? Imagine an airbag of some sort but I just don't know Don't recognize the gear.

    • @escapeartist7900

Thanks Tarso. The item around my neck is an O'neal neck collar (I think that's what it's called). I use it for neck support in a fall, however I have been informed that apparently it is of little to no use. I personally find this hard to believe but if you're looking for neck / spinal support while riding, do some research of your own for sure. Thanks again for the comment and thanks for watching.
