- Inputs, processes, outputs
- Interdependence
- Holism
- Openness
- Goals
- Equifinality
- Feedback
- Entropy

@@orgcomm Same here! I am not a reader and these textbooks are too detail oriented
Let me tell you!!! I have been reading and reading and could not understand a single thing about systems theory. I mean like honestly why did anyone create this!
This was incredible! So clear and concise, no jargon and very informative. If all of my lecturers were this good at teaching I wouldn't need to come to CZcams for help! Thank you for this video!!!!
Thanks, Va9essa. I'm glad it was a helpful video. Have a great semester.
I read for hours on the systems approach in order to equip myself enough to complete an assignment, but have learned more in the ten minutes spent watching this video. THANK YOU!!!!!! Please do not stop. I will keep on coming back for more insight for as long as I study Communications.
I'm glad the video helped, Francios. I'm glad you're doing the reading, too. :-)
This video gives a wide overview and understanding of the subject that I couldn't get somewhere else. Thank you very much
Glad it helped, Moustafa. :-)
Great job breaking down the systems theory. I learned more in this 10-minute video than the hours I spent reading three chapters in my textbook!
Great. I'm glad the video was helpful. You from USC? I used to live in the LA area. Have a great summer.
I am from USC, but the real USC. The University of South Carolina lol. Have a great summer yourself.

Good luck!
Thank you so much..Very Insightful! Wish you were my lecturer
Thanks. Glad it was helpful. :-)
Hi! love how you explained the theory well and easy. I would love to ask for a reference for the major concepts. and is systems theory of organization the same as the systems of organization?
Fantastic video, thank you
I love your videos, the relationships are very well explained. may I ask you to do a video on network-based theory or the process theory of organizations? furthermore, I am very interested in your thoughts about the interplay of Luhmans system-theory and postmodern approaches such as hybrid or network organizations. that would be very interesting - looking forward to a new video :) greetings from Austria
Greetings from New York State. I'll put that suggestion on the list. Thank you.
Thank you for this !
Loved this
Very well presented with a pleasant sounding voice
Thank you, thresia. :-)
Thank you so much for this video, it is so well explained and informative! Could you tell me the difference between Systems Theory and Living Systems Theory? And do you have the original references you used for this video? Thanks!
Very interesting, thanks!
It seems very much related to the principles of Bowen's approach. Subscribed this channel for more such Wonderful videos on Organisational Behavior✨
Hi again to your book dares, it's considered very and very interesting title . it's very benefit to me therefore thanks to you againe.
Great information!
Interesting and informative
Thanks
Meadows said people dont really understand systems at all but you Do! Thanks
Thanks!
This is a great presentation!
Thank you, Ruby. Did you watch it for a class?
I'm actually going to use in a class that I am teaching as a much clearer presentation of the material than the text offers.
That's great to hear. I hope it helps.
Hi, do you have an example of a organisation which implement the systems theory approach? Great video thank you!
Systems theory is a way of thinking about and viewing how organizations work. It is useful to describe and organizations. It is a way of looking at organizations. It's not one of those theories that organizations typically implement like the way they'd build an assembly line. However, I read an old article in Fast Company about the John Deere company that might be useful. The article talks about "complexity theory" but it's a related theory to systems. Chaos Theory/Complexity theory was build on top of systems theory. It just sounds more edgy. The article is a good illustration of what a company looks like when it moves away from an assembly line toward more systems thinking: www.fastcompany.com/35717/john-deere-runs-chaos
Superb..was very helpful
Thank you, Prachi. I appreciate the positive feedback. :-)
Amazing stuff! Coming from very independent perspectives, it would appear that as I attempted to unify classical mechanics and quantum mechanics, cognizant that Prof. Einstein had a problem appreciating quantum theory; believing that it was incomplete and had variables missing,it appears as I unmasked reality in the universe, I crafted a model in perfect harmony with the systems theory.
By taking matter and radiation as inputs and immobile and mobile non-matter as outputs with the processes being interactions of inputs or outputs under a process in equilibrium, I have correctly account for Einstein's concerns about the incompleteness of the quantum theory. Thus, I could consider my new matter/non-matter equation published in october 2022 in the international IRJIRET journal as a true summary of the reality of how the universe ticks because my new equation is:
1) caters for both aspects of entanglement i.e it gives the immobile and mobile moeties that are on entanglement. and not just capturing electrons (mobiles) and leaving out the nucleus (immobile a) from which the electrons separate to become entangled with the same. This provides additional info Einstein and his EPR team considered lacking, yet Nobel Prize 2022 appears to have glossed over this concern.
2) Independently developed, my new equation that unifies classical and quantum mechanics and motivated by chemistry is electrifyingly similar with another version by Fotini Markopoulpu from a physics perspective, alluding at a consistency of thought across geographical regions and scientific disciplines.
3) My equation also has equally electrifying parallels with that providing for the cosmological constant.
Overall, this developments merit constitution of a broad based panel of scientific experts to interrogate this scientific development with a view to making relevant and timely pronouncements, accordingly that may be needed to bring harmony and unanimity on matters that have bothered science for close to a Century now.
3,
THANK YOU SO MUCH
Great ideas👍
Thankyou for a great video ! #respectfromIndia🇮🇳🙏

Hi, Denise. Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad the video was helpful.
Hi and very thjanks to your interesting lectures. And I wish your health from God so as to giving us more informatin abou oraganization.
Hi.
Thanks much for this!
How can the systems theory be used in teaching please
Am study these course and your video help me a lot thank
Glad to hear that. Thank you for saying so.
I'm wondering if you could apply this as a theoretical frame for viewing the internet, to some degree I see it as a complex social organization/system? it has feedback loops, permeable boundaries, holism etc.
I agree with you 100%. It's a great explanatory model for making sense of the Internet.
Interesting I would like to know if an open market can be a system or collection which concepts general system theory
I just come to seek more, but i found myself wrong to some knowledge i learned .... thank you 😊
Do you have any videos or information on the difference of open vs. closed systems strategy? This video greatly enhances my understanding of open structures and their benefits but what about closed? Thanks!
I don't have any videos on closed systems. In fact, some people argue that they don't exist in reality and it's only a theory. From my view, I find it most helpful to think about systems in terms of degrees of openness. Some have limited and constrained boundaries and others have comparatively open boundaries. You may have Googled it already but I would start there if I were you and see what people say about the debate.
clearly explained
10 mins and 50 minutes ago I felt so stupid because I didn't understand my textbooks, thank u so much ♥️this was amazing
Happy to help!
Very helpful 👍
This was great, I've been trying to figure out systems theory for days now, since i heard about it, everyone kept using these unhelpful allegories and examples.
Hey, Charlie! Happy to help :-)
Thank you 😊
Hi, great video, helped a lot, but where did you get your information from ? Tried to look it up in your book and did not see it, can you point me to some articles please ?
I pulled it from a variety of sources like textbooks and journal articles. I didn't cite any particular research because systems theory is in most books on organizational theory. But, years ago, I first started reading about it in Peggy Byers Book: www.pearson.com/us/higher-education/program/Byers-Organizational-Communication-Theory-and-Behavior/PGM791.html
@@orgcomm thank you!
thank u sir !!!
Dear prof Dr sir
Very sweet good morning 🌞🌞 Thank you very much 🙏💓💓
Can anyone help me cite this video in APA format?
Good job
Great video
Thanks. Glad it was helpful.
Thank you dad
Do I sound like a dad? Ha. I am a dad, so I guess that's Okay with me.
wow..sir nicely explained.😁
Thanks, Pinki. I appreciate the kind words of encouragement. :-)
Hi Alex, very tiny typo near the end: Loosely Coupled Systems (not Couple Systems); otherwise, really great explanation of Systems Theory - thank you!
Hi, Maia. Thanks for catching that. I wish I could change it now but once a video is up, it can't be altered. Good eyes, though.
My Theory of Organizations teacher basically handed her class over to you because of quarantine cause she doesn't want to give online classes so thanks, lol
I'm glad the videos are helpful. :-)
Thank you so much,
my all heart and support for you.

Can you please do a video on Chern's - Social Technical Systems
Thanks🦋😍
good lecture. I will appreciate if you can do a video lecture on advantages and disadvantages of a system approach/theory
Not a bad idea but I don't think I'll do that. It sounds like an exam question and I don't do videos like that.
