  • In this training or video tutorial, I will be showing you how to connect and login to a brand new out-of-the-box Johnson Controls FX80 JACE. This is an N4 Niagara based supervisory device.
    I will be showing different methods of commissioning / connecting to this JACE (FX Startup). That is using the Chrome web browser and the Facility Explorer Workbench 14.

    I do believe I have found my malfunction. In a honeywell jace there is no installed station on a new jace. Apparently on johnson there is. So I've been trying to log into the platform with your station credentials. Needless to say it fails every time. Should have picked up on that earlier..but I didn't.

      Hi there! Good that you've found your issue. This video was solely for the Johnson Controls JACE.

    Iam new to tridium, how you load a graphic or image package to the Jace?

      Hi there! What type of JACE do you have? JCI, Distech, Honeywell? If it's a Johnson Controls, when you commission your JACE it has some graphics preloaded. Let me know so I can give you a bit more information.

      Hi Patrick, to work with FX JACEs you will need the software FX Workbench, which again you will need to contact JCI to buy the software and license.

    Can you change the IP of the FX80 so it won't be running on the default IP? I need to add a static IP

      Hello Boku! I'm deeply sorry for the late reply. I've been out of town for so long that I haven't been able to keep up with my CZcams Channel. You will probably need FX Workbench to change the IP address. Once you open Workbench, login to your FX80 Platform and go to TCP/IP Configuration > Interfaces > Interface 1. In there you can change your IPv4 Address and subnet. On the top you can also change your Gateway. Hope this helps!

    How do i change the factory default platform on my local platform?

    • @controlshero
      @controlshero  Před 3 lety

      Hi Gary, thanks for your question. I have never tried changing them, but I believe that your current credentials are the same as your Windows Credentials. Now, if you want to change them, you may be able to do so if you go to Platform > Platform Administration > Update Authentication. But I must warn you that I have never tried, so at the moment I cannot assure you if it's going to work.

    Hii sir,
    How can we know how many points available in a particular FX 80 controller?

      @controlshero  Před rokem

      Hi Sreeram, thanks for your question. I don't have the answer. I will have to look into a JACE and find out.

    Are the passwords the same for all Jace models?
    Also, what program is used to load the database?

    • @controlshero
      @controlshero  Před 3 lety

      Hi L. Cross, no they are not the same for all models. I would say they are the same on JACEs with similar production dates. But I will not be surprise if JCI revise their passwords every couple years. You may need to look at the documentation that comes with the JACE. The program to load databases I use is JCI FX Workbench Pro.

      @@controlshero Great. What about to load the graphics?

    • @controlshero
      @controlshero  Před 3 lety

      @@l.crossjr You can also do it in FX Workbench. I currently don't have a JACE handy, but there is a place in Workbench where you can transfer files to your JACE, which allows you to transfer image files. I haven't done Graphics on JACEs in a very long time. But if you can send me a message on my website controlshero.com/ we can further discuss it.

      Hi! What can I say. There are always good things and bad things between manufacturers. Controls is a tough field but very rewarding.
