Duke Nukem 3D: Reloaded cancelled remake (leak) - A look at Hollywood Holocaust map

(Englis below) Esto es un pequeño "gameplay" que grabé hace unos meses de la versión filtrada a la red de Duke Nukem 3D: Reloaded, el remake que se estaba haciendo en Unreal engine para la generación PS3/360 y que fue cancelado cuando 3D Realms perdió los derechos de la franquicia. No lo publiqué porque no me pareció demasiado interesante, pues no es más que un mapa multijugador basado en el mítico primer nivel del juego original, Hollywood Holocaust (y ni siquiera está terminado), se ve que el juego estaba en un estado muy temprano de desarrollo. Además supuestamente hay algo más en este leak, como bots y assets, pero no sé cómo acceder a ello. Pero bueno, he decidido rescatarlo y publicarlo. Por lo menos creo que es curioso de ver, porque da una idea de que los gráficos y la ambientación iban a estar cuidados, una pena...

This is a little "gameplay" I recorded some months ago of the leaked version of Duke Nukem 3D: Reloaded, the remake that was being made in Unreal engine for the PS3/360 generation and that was cancelled when 3D Realms lost the rights of the franchise. I didn't post it because I didn't find it too interesting, as it's nothing more than a multiplayer map based on the famous first level of the original game, Hollywood Holocaust (and it's not even finished), you can see that the game was in a very early stage of development. Also supposedly there is something else in this leak, like bots an assets, but I don't know how to access it. But well, I have decided to rescue it and publish it. At least I think it's curious to see, because it gives an idea that the graphics and the environment were cool, a shame...

@@DARTHVRNET por lo que vi del video, la ciudad puede ser un asset flip pero aun así comparás la animación de la palanca, el cartel de hollywood holocaust en el skybox, los gráficos, las animaciones suaves que de por si eran de algo early o beta y no podes evitar pensar que esto fácilmente podria haber sido mejor que duke nukem forever

​@@DARTHVRNET Wasn't Duke Nukem Forever coming out around the same time as this was supposed to? This was better, smoother, and way more playable than Forever and Gearbox killed this to preserve any hope for sales of Forever? I dunno if that was just a rumor or not.

Duke Nukem could have been a good Half-Life clone, but it ended with a lousy Halo clone.

Well, Half-Life with a slightly less linear level design, but yeah, certainly the Duke Nukem Forever that came out felt anything but Duke Nukem, it copied things from 2000's shooters in the wrong way, like Halo's weapon limitation. In any case, it's hard to know if this remake was on the right track or not.

Duke wasn't lousy, it just couldn't meet fan expectations because it overprimised. Also, it released during a time when his brand of sexism, machismo, and ludicrous action wasn't fashionable

@@TheTillmanSneakerReview There isn't any sexism, there's womanizing and sexualizing but no sexism. That's why stuff like this is best avoided because people have trouble distinguishing the difference, OR they don't want to 🤪 Afterall... understanding is not controversial, it's not melodramatic. 🤪

Womanize: engagement in numerous casual sexual affairs with women.
Where did you see Duke have sex in any game???
Sexualize: make sexual; attribute sex to a person or object.
Womanizing and sexualizing run together.
Sexism: prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination, typically against women, based on sex.
No woman in the franchise serves a role beyond sex service and male ego-boosting. It's soft porn mixed with over-the-top action.
One cannot be a womanizer without sexualizing women. The overt sexualization of women has an air of sexism.
