In New Zealand most accounting roles are going off shore to India and Thailand. A lot of companies here are moving the work off shore. 🌸🌼🌸

Accounting is still perceived to be a mundane number-crunching job and people don't want to spend a lot of time and tuition for that. Thing is, it's a very interesting field if you're into tech. The accounting industry as a whole needs better marketing.

The government could identify areas where trades are low in numbers and offer free or discounted education in accounting for example to fill the need. It’s not rocket science.
