Lusaka as the capital of Zambia is closer to Zimbabwe. with this era of digital technology, as an African i know almost everything geographically in Zambia, kenya, SA, Malawi even in far west of Africa I know about Morrocco, Souhern Sahara, Senegal. Mauritius even small countries in north east such as Eritrea, Djibouti etc. I knew about Africa and World at large before i even come to university, The Zimbabwean secondary school syllabus in strong. I am into real estate studies, most of information about real estate markets i find it from Kenyan publishers, and those at the University of Cape Town. I even know the trends of real estate development in Nairobi, Turkana County, (KENYA), Kampala in Uganda, Kigali in Rwanda, and any other African country. In Kenya they are introducing the blockchain technology. Recently there were elections in Kenya and Angola and Ruto Lorenco won. Next year there are election in zimbabwe and Nigeria. I'm getting slightly irritated every time I see one of these videos because we are not all like this. African Tigress you really need to expand your sample size because these students are not representative of all Zambians. The ignorance on display is embarrassing. To the UNZA students: to be so uninformed when you have access to information at your fingertips is inexcusable. You owe it to your country, to the people (past and present) who made sacrifices for you to be there, and to yourselves, to do better. Please take yourselves seriously.

I'm Zimbabwean and I'm not at all surprised by these students' level of general knowledge. What the current education systems in Africa generally are doing is make these students study to pass EXAMS and not neccessarilly impart knowledge. So for example you will get the most brilliant heart surgeon/doctor who is very ignorant about everything else. We know have students who have been trained to lack political consciousness and geographical knowledge of their immediate surroundings. It becomes so easy for Westerners to exploit them strip our countries of their resources under the guise of investment, and these university graduates will be watching from the comfort of their middle class gated communities (I like to call them "squatter camps" for the rich). Chinese and Western countries are busy fighting in the new "scramble for Africa". In 50 years time Africa will be recolonized, under the full watch of these young Africans. And believe me, this "exhibition and display" of lack of knowledge and awareness is not just in Zambia, its everywhere in Africa. Whilst, Chinese and Westerners are mapping out our countries' mineral deposits, Our youths spend their time on social time and that's what they believe that to be knowledge. I bet if the first girl had been asked to upload on tik tok, we all would have left in awe with her twerking prowess
