- -Welcome to the Sleep Ranch! We are located in the Northern Black Hills on the South Dakota/ Wyoming border where our ancestors settled and started ranching in 1883.
I (Carson) work alongside my parents, Jeff and Jodi, our ranch hand, Jaques, my wife, Damaris who also works as a nurse in town, and our son Silas! We have friends and family who come along very frequently as well!
We run a cow/calf operation where we summer our cattle on the Black Hills National Forest and winter them in the foothills of the Black Hills. We also have a backgrounding feedlot, and grow alfalfa and grass hay.

Love seeing Angus do his thing. He is amazing. Great video and God Bless.
bye angus and good work 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Oh Boy!! Angus sure loves to work those cows!! So awesome to see!!
Good looken fat heifers. Your dog is worth his vet bills. You and your family videos are so special to all of us Thank You and God Bless Your Family
Those 7 you called smaller, look big to me. That's good that you check the fence for the people, so they can see you get the same shock as the cattle. I like watching Angus work. Thanks for taking us along.
Looks like spring weather, mighty wet.If I don't have chance,I wish a Very Merry Christmas to all.It will be a magical one for the Cy guy.
Angus is a real go getter, just jumps right out the window and he's off and running!
Always busy doing something. Great job Angus. I figured the crazy cow was going, lol.
I TOTALLY ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO GUY'S 😊
Well done Angus! He’s really gettin the hang of it
Angus loves working.
Angus sure enjoys herding cattle, he does good at getting them moving. I have often wondered why no one seems to offer a cattle trailer with a rear door that has the ability to open form either side, It would often make loading and unloading easier.
Good morning to you! Angus is a good dog. It is 36 degrees here and no snow! We will get whacked soon.
Thanks for the great video. Hugs for Damaris & Silas.
Good job Angus, you train him well. 👍❤️🇨🇦
Great video Carson
Argus is coming along well as a cow dog.
Angus is a good cattle dog. How is the little pregnant one
Your cattle have great form and in great shape.
Evening from Muscat, Oman. Thank you very much for the video. Love and look forward to my weekly fix of sleep Ranch. God bless.
Good to see you. Hope you and family are all doing well. Angus is a great dog. Take care ❤
It's always good to see a good dog turn into a great cow dog!! Doing what his breed is bread for! What a wonderful job Angus ❤
I enjoyed the video. The fat heifer's look nice.im glad everything is going well.
Angus loves his job! Thanks for the update! Blessings for Christmas 🎄
Thanks
Great to see Angus working. You hadn’t had him on last few videos and was wondering where he was Carson. Hope the family is doing well . Have a blessed day and Merry Christmas 🎁🎄 & Happy New Year 🎊🎆🎈
What a beautiful day when you and Angus were moving the heifers. Watching you ranch and farm families is alot like having grandchildren; we get to enjoy it without all the work😅 Sure enjoy watching, beautiful country, great people, gives us encouragement. We are made aware of to many bad things that go on. Bless you all!
Pretty spooky heifers! I would think they might turn into "dark cutters" when they go to slaughter".
Nice looking butcher beef. I had two steers on grass this past summer and now I added cracked corn to finish them before they go to the butcher this winter. Usually sell one and keep one for ourselves. We did not get an elk this past season. So beef it is umy umy.
Heifers are in great shape
THANKS!
Some day if you get bored 😂 could you show us the tools you use and how you either fix a broken fence or install a new one? Thanks.
My neighbor makes those postpounders, also post pullers!
Nice Cattle
Keep up the good work
Great Video...The SMALL heifers look pretty tasty to me...hope geta chance to video the others when they loadout...Angus is really working out well, doing great for as young as he is !!! It would never happen without Angus !
Enjoyed the video as always
Thank you for the video. This made my day much better!
Do you have tricks and tips for pounding posts into frozen ground? I've been trying to put some up to keep the deer off of our greens, but I'm just bending posts and tearing grass up, but you make it look easy!
Thanks for taking us all along with you, we do appreciate you and your family. Watching Angus progress is really fun, he is really working the cattle great. In the event I don't have a chance before the holiday, wishing you a very Merry and Most Blessed Christmas! God Bless!
You have a good cattle dog 🐶 it sure makes a difference in life always ready to work for you take care enjoy your videos . And merry Christmas 🎄 to you and your family ❤
Them are Big looks good
I am glad the sale barn I work for is a state and half way from you. As a former beef and dairy producer I would never pass a dangerous/ wild animal to another farmer . They always went to kill. The last thing that will be on my head is knowing one of my crazys killed or injuried someone I know
Howdy cowboy,
Glad to see everything is doing good bubba.
If You got some time put out some Cowboy Poetry..
State Christ Curious y'all!
ANGUS!!!!!!!!!!!! hey buddy
Those heifers you picked up look nice and will be good eating I would rather have a free Martian or just a heifer to eat . 😊
Lol. Silas job later
Merry Christmas to the whole family, and yes, Angus is doing really well for you!!
I hope you make biltong. With all those cows I'll have biltong for breakfast, lunch and supper.
use salt water for a better ground
How far is it from the ranch to where you have the open heifers in Nebraska?
How long of a drive to Neb for ya?
Don’t you love them speed goats and the way they mess your fences up
Kind of strange u slaughter heifers and not steers, unless u didn't have steers.although it looked like tge last one out of trailer was a steer.
That heifers from the feedlot look super nice….. And I think Angus is doing a great job!!! I know about testing the electric wire….As a kid we didn’t the white wire..just regular wire and I was always running into it…My dog and me were always getting zapped!!!!🥹🥹🥹
