Remote Wilderness Discovery! What A Camping Trip!

- Our family discovered that we grow closer when we're not always staring at our phones.
I took the family camping way up high on the mountain where the roads are bad enough to keep it a little quieter, more peaceful than most family camping destinations.
You might recognize some of the views since it's one of our favorite spots!
I loved this trip, watching Luke play with the fire wood rather than staring at a screen! Kids need nature to remind them what it means to be human. All this technology is such a recent part of our existence. I think we feel at home in nature on something of a genetic level. After all, at one point we were wild and even after that we enjoyed camping and hunted to supplement our food supply. Camping is such a great way to push the reset button on our peace of mind! I don't just think of camping as recreation, I think it's more important than that, more of a therapy to help us cope with modern day life.

I agree with you he is blessed to live the life he does to go spend time in the wilderness with his family he is such a good man And his wife is a very good mother and his children are so wonderful and you can tell they’re happy even his dogs are smart well-behaved and happy just a beautiful family living a beautiful life would give anything to be able to do the same thing!!! After discovering these videos today and watching a bunch I can say with 100% certainty I've never seen someone so prepared for any kind of camping. Totally gonna be buying some of those cool gadgets you have. I like the coffee grinder + maker and the small pressure washer.

I’m a petroleum inspector on the Gulf Coast. I work a lot of hours and would trade it all in to learn how to play a didgeridoo, fish, spend time with family, drink some coffee with those spectacular views! 2 hurricanes, COVID, and the stress melts away when I watch your channel! Thank you

Lived in nyc my whole life. Watch many of your videos as a form of "getting away" .its hard to plan and pay for camping trips living in the city which is so expensive by itself. I watch these as a hope of one day living my dream of leaving the city and starting over somewhere fresh and quiet where i can do trips like these all the time with my family. It means alot steve.
