Sekiro is the kind of game that you quit at the final boss, come back 6 months later starting fresh, and then beat the game with relative ease. It is like coming back to a boss after leveling up a few times, except in real life.
It's amazing what stepping away from the game and coming back can do for the mental game. It helped ALOT with this!

I’m a gamer I stumbled upon the “soul like” craze just a few days ago. Stellar Blade was so amazing I started researching games like it! Wow I never imagined games like this existed it’s fun to have a challenge that’s fair! I’m not into all the blood in gore tho but I like the genre and I got lies of P to hold me over until stellar blade! Hopefully they make some souls like games without all the gore! Cheers great vid

I have played this game in 2024. This is a masterpiece.
Finished beating Elden Ring a couple days ago. Definitely gonna give this game a shot!

I actually plan on playing it this year, I’ve play a bit of dark souls and elden ring and I’m going to play them all
After Sekiro, I’m thinking about giving Elden Ring a go in the near future. I’d like to checkout some of the Dark Souls games too. I wish Bloodborne was on PC or I’d try that one next.

do you recommend this for casual players like me?? or will i never be able to finish this game?
You could try. From talking with a few friends I have who are casual gamers themselves who have tried the game out- they have talked about finding spots of getting stuck. Some have gone back, others have not. You might be able to find some other feedback on Reddit. Plus, with the game being out a few years. If push comes to shove, I’m sure there is ways to cheese fights if truly desperate or hard stuck. I wish you luck on your decision.
I'm definitely a casual gamer and before Sekiro I had never even tried one of the Souls games or any of the similarly difficult games to come after.
That all said, I love Sekiro. It's fair, takes some practice, takes a lot of defeat - but it's also the type of experience that even in losing you gain so much. I started out nervous and overly defensive, scared of getting defeated - but once I took the message of "hesitation is defeat" to heart I was able to overcome the many challenges (ok except for some optional ones) and beat the game.
If you aren't sure it's for you, then buy it on sale - but I'd definitely recommend trying it out either way. It's worth the support (and when it clicks it's very fun), even if you don't end up completing it.
My fav fromsoft game next to elden ring. The combat is addicting.

Sekiro is awesome, 1 mistake half ur life gone or 100% gone, it's hard but once u go in that zone it's like an high, just defeated guardian ape no spear 💯💯

I have 95% elden ring im bored now so im thinking about buying sekiro and i watched the video but i mostly care about 1 thing elden ring didnt have are u gona relay on the parry system heavily and is it satisfaying and hard to learn to time
Parrying attacks is much needed in this game. You will need to learn enemy patterns especially in boss fights. Timing is everything. It is a bit tricky to learn at first and can take some time. But when you do get it, yes it’s extremely satisfying.
Bro I got this game and preordered and stopped playing for 2 years before I got back on it but it seems more easier to play kinda but I got Elden ring and I feel it’s harder than sekiro
Cool. This was my 1st Souls-like experience so I don’t have anything else to compare to quite yet, I’m curious to checkout some of the others in the future. I’ve heard great things on Elden Ring.
@@MrHoodieJones me too I never played dark souls or any of those games this one was the first cause I love ninjas but another I played was nioh 2 that one is more dark souls but with ninjas too if you like that Elden ring you can have 2 others join you in boss fight or dungeons only no roaming
Elden ring is a different beast, one of my best gaming experiences ever. Get yourself some free time and dive into it for a day and you’ll be glued to it for a long time.
hey i noticed u said its ur first souls like and i just wanna say, the combat looks very similar to Lies of P which is on of my favourite souls likes, as apposed to elden ring. elden ring leans more towards rolls and dodges, whereas this game and lies of p lean towards parries and perfectly timed blocks which is way more fun imo. u should check it out sometime

P.S I got platinum trophy for Elden Ring, loved it eventually lol
I haven’t played Elden Ring yet to compare; though that’s quite the accomplishment to get platinum…nice. Sekiro is tough, but it’s a rewarding experience. I believe I picked it up when it was around the same pricing (50% off). If you’ve been thinking about it awhile that could be your indicator to go for it.
