People don’t realize that this is what we(musicians) hear when we listen,write, play metal music. Sean managed to catch the pure and true essence of metal in the most beautiful way possible.

@@johnchapman5425 Best comment of all /threadends. What many don't know in our world of metal, is we hear something different, we hear a sercet song behind every metal song. It is a hidden feature, a feature only those who are touched can understand, those who will, and shall, perceive. Exactly what you say, when I hear metal, this is what I hear, regular pleople hear lyrics and all that jazz, blah, they do not know the true emotions that go on in these.
I think it depends on the genre though. like I wouldn't really expect songs like impulsive dismemberment or torso extraction to be like this

@@habitualgamer_4655 yes! With a different album. Like Self Titled '09 if I had to pick. It would really work cause during the recording of that record, Howard was going through some stuff. He was pushed to his limits by Brendan O’Brien (producer). So you’ll somewhat feel he felt when listening.
Rose of Sharyn gets to me every time... Can't listen to it without remembering those who are now gone from my life. "It won't be long... We'll meet again".

I wish I could love this more. THIS is what I try to explain to people about the music I listen to. The melody underlying it all. The structure and tone of the screams. The way riffs progress and grow on one another.

What a great Ode to one of the greatest singers of all time Howard Jones. I saw him perform with Killswitch Engage live several times throughout the years when he was with them. By far one of the GREATEST metalcore albums of all time. It is soo wonderfully beautiful sounding on piano. I am never going to turn this off and just keep it on repeat. \m/
