that just makes it better. we either laugh at him falling or cheer him coming back meaner. he is, imo, very funny with his trash talk. he has an ego, sure, but its a charming kind of ego. and his insults seem light hearted. i wish him the best and if he fails i will be laughing AT him, hopefully with him.
Characters like Zomba are important to keep a competitive scene alive. If everyone is a good guy the stakes get lower and people lose interest over time unless the gameplay itself is really engaging

No one *must* respect someone for skill. Respect is earned through how one carries themselves as well as what they do, not their accomplishments alone.
