Great video. I’ve been researching builds lately and this build convinced me to pull the trigger. Although, I splurged a little more and upgraded the MB to the MSI Tomahawk. I also purchased a different tower but ended up around $1650. Still better than the prebuilt systems which were between $2000-$2500. Thanks Ed!

Great thing about Microcenter, this is how it always is. The secret sauce is to talk to the sales people and they will hook you up with the best discounts and save you a ton of cash (or allow you to get a better system for the same price).

love the build Ed, but with the fans I think that you should have put the 2 that were in the front on the top and replace the with 2 rgb fans and put the other rgb fan at the back so that you fill up the top since it does look kind of weird having 1 fan at the top when there's room for 2

btw for the light problems in the pc you could download a third party program to control these lights u can like choose on the graphics card the color black in the program and it turns the light off and as for the memory sticks you can pick whatever you want

These trip to Micro Center videos are phenomenal. Watching you go through the decision making process and seeing you interact with fans is fun. Nearest Micro Center to me is Cambridge MA but it's a 90 minute car ride if I am lucky, and parking isn't guaranteed as they share a lot with other businesses and Cambridge is already terrible for parking.

Im in the Indianapolis area and was so stoked when it opened. The nearest one was sharonville Ohio for me and now I got one only about 30 min away after opening.
My best friend lives in Indianapolis. I just moved down to Texas about 3 years ago, and I'm pretty sure they're is a few micro centers here in Texas if not another one being added here soon. I'm so excited

I recently bought my first PC from there. I was at 2705 out the door for my first build (oooook technically 2405 but I added their warranty bundle on my computer so parts are covered) and got Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Gigabyte RTX 4070Ti OC, MSI carbon, 2.5TB of SSD’s 360mm AIO for the CPU, some 140mm fans, 64GB of Corsair vengeance 3600 and a ASUS 1000W tuf power supply, all wrapped in a lovely white and black Y40 case. Love the look, love the PCI extension port that sets the GPU side mounted and I love the look. I’ll tweet it at you

Love the build, but I think you need to factor tax into the budget, usually when someone has a set about, that has to include tax.

I have a base 1660 with 8gbs of ram, and a i5 9400. I want to upgrade all of these but I’m just not sure what to go with, if you or anyone in the comments could help I would greatly appreciate it. Hey friend! I mean you could go with something like an Rx 6700 xt, those are great and very cheap currently, for the cpu you could go with Ryzen 5600x or 5800x those are great value as well, take care!

Alas, I also spent 1500 yesterday on a prebuilt PC from best buy, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality 1500 gets you nowadays. I was able to get a 3070 and a ryzen 7 7700X with 1 TB for that price range.

It is so strange and mega-profitable that the discount on the processor works simultaneously with the offer of the video card + processor = -50$ . Where I live, for example, if there is already a discount on an item, then it does not participate in other profitable offers
I also think it would be reasonable for the final price after taxes to be settled at 1500, I just think for many residents of countries with VAT included in the price of the product, it is unexpected to see that the final price goes beyond the limits established by the headline of the video and, we can say, violates them😅

solid build overall for the budget price. wish i had 1500$ to copy this build tho. Ed is really lucky, he can just go into a pc parts shop and pick whatever budget he wants and build the rig himself. This build has some of my favorite parts, AM5 platform, teamgroup sticks, NZXT case and AMD GPU. The closest microcenter from where im from is about 6,000km or 3,700+ miles, basically at the other side of the earth lol. so i wont be seeing any microcenter anytime soon, unless i become successful in 20 years and live within the US.

I live within 3 minutes of a Micro Center and i LOVE it. It is the single greatest store for returns you will ever find.
Just built my first PC inspired from this build and I love it. I have the same motherboard and case. I also bought a 3 pack of fans. I was just wondering if you had to use a fan splitter or hub because I only see 3 fan connectors on the motherboard.

Thankfully here in Northern NJ I have various Micro Center options. One used to be a half hour away. Since i'm now next to NYC it's easier for me to hope on the bus and subway and go to one in Brooklyn. Yes it is a giant toy store for pc builders which I am definitely one of.
My last build 3 years ago was an AMD 570X build. It's still chugging fine. Though I know I need to go back to MC to get me one of those GPU deals. That build by the way is smokin. Keep up the good work.

I live in Northern NJ and literally 15 minutes drive to MicroCenter in Paterson NJ.. That feeling of walking into the toy aisle as a kid has left me and now it's replaced with walking into MicroCenter and feeling like a little boy with money to spend and no one to tell me NO HAHAHA 😂
I live in Indiana but way up north in Hammond. I live within an hour of Chicagos micro center. They have 2 out here. I remember building my computer and having to drive to Indianapolis to pick up nzxt s340 elite case because they were out of stock everywhere and had one left out there. It wasn’t a micro center but some random computer store I believe. Good to know Indianapolis will have one now
