I was never that bothered about Volvo's. Until i sat in one. Fell in love instantly. And now i am the proud owner of one. As a first car.

Volvo Cars An V70 from 02 actually. I know that their is a few known problems with them from that era, but so goes for every car more or less to be honest. It's for sure the best car I've had so far anyway.
Volvo Cars if i were to get a volvo.. it would most likely be a Volvo PV544 or the PV544 Duett as my dad had a BUNCH of PV's and Amazon's..
My boss told med to get an Amazon at the time before I got the V70. I wanted a newer car. At the time I also wanted to be able to easily travel with a large dog (even tho it's was my friends dog) so an estate car were there for the choice since a hatchback were a little bit too cramped for the dog. Not long after the last post I posted here two years ago I actually bought a newer V70 from 2011 (regret a little that I didn't bought a one year newer one tho) even tho I never had any dog in it yet... probably should get a sedan instead.. but I kinda like to have the space even tho I don't use it every day. It's a fun car, safe, handles well, not that slow, more rapid that most cars for sure, not only for a estate car, looks good (in my opinion), the only thing I don't like about is to refuel xD (not saying it's thirsty tho, it's not bad for for that type of car).
Facts😂 used to love making fun of volvos because I thought they were ugly until I got a 97 volvo 850 and I love it
I do love Volvo. The brand just has this aura that cannot exactly be explained but one has to feel it while driving one of their cars. When you hear Sweden you got to think of Volvo.

Volvo should make a modern version of the P1800
i wish they would brush aside ideas of a safe car for one day, and allow one fun car through. i would be the first on line to buy a modern p1800
The Volvo Concept Cupé is a concept for know, but. Volvo might, just might, put in production. And when that day comes around, guess what will be on my shopping list ;)
The p1800 was de facto not a sport car. It looked like one thou. The concept of "fun" was a selling point of other car companies. Other brands sold overpowered cars for race tracks, that had enormous potential in certain very limited environments, and most of the drivers that owned those cars hade no chance of exploiting this potential, due to lack of skill needed and due to speed limitations. Nevertheless some car companies exploited the vanity of men who wanted to show of their "potential", the size of their d... to the outside world. Shows like top Greer promoted yearnings of going faster then the nest guy on the road, having a bigger engine, that roars loudest, crushing your rivals on the road with superior horsepower. This is not what Volvo is about. In one commercial there was a brilliant line that sums this up. Volvo is not for everyone, but we like it that way. Volvo is for people that don't have to prove anything to anyone. They have different priorities. If you want a "fun" car you have plenty to choose from. It's also quite funny how Volvos polestar division occasionally makes beast cars to make a point that they can make a car that can be the fastest car of a particular segment but they choose not to. The philosophy of the brand is more than a clever marketing scheme. It is at the core of everything they do, and it is reflected in the people that choose to buy Volvos.
I wish theyd manufacture b230 engines or any 2,7, or 9 series car.

10 years ago I shopped for my first car, and stumbled onto an 1981 Volvo 240. I instantly loved the car, and went on to buy it. Little did I know that everything I would learn about Volvo the company, and Volvo cars, I would truly appreciate. It's like this car company was made for people like me.
Now, I have my second car, a 2006 Volvo s60. I love it!
I considered going with other brands, but was disappointed with them. I went for the car I really wanted, the s60, and I'm glad I did.
I'm also dreaming of owning a brand new Volvo some day, like the outstanding 2019 s60.
Volvos are just the perfect combination of quality, luxury, style, and features, with great safety, and value as well.
And I have to wonder if it's all a coincidence, that, though I am born and raised in Canada, I am of Nordic/Scandinavian ancestry, and just happen to love Volvos? :)
I didn't think I would ever get a Volvo at sixteen years old (I'm seventeen now), but I'm so glad I have that car. It always feels like I'm going on a date with my car. It's a 2002 Volvo S60. I also want to buy a new Volvo when I get older, but the prices for new cars are astronomical. It doesn't look like there are Volvo car dealerships in the US.
I won't put my son in anything other than a Volvo.

I tend to go for Japanese, but I'd have a Volvo in an instant if one came up for the right price. Their new cars look nice, and even their older cars are gaining retro appeal and are well known for being virtually bullet-proof. My grandad had one in the 90's, and he says it's the best car he's ever had and regrets selling it.

I went from 1969 GTO and 1971 Chevy C20 Pickup to 2019 Volvo XC90. I regret nothing.

Great video, I love my 2014 XC60 T6 AWD but I can't say I'm looking forward to self driving cars because of the surcharges that insurance companies and governments will inevitably place on those of us who prefer driving ourselves. I have had a ton of trouble with past and present Volvo transmissions. It would be my hope that Volvo would work to refine their shift programs and valve body design to be able to reliably handle the extra solenoid actuating cycles imposed by the neutral stop feature. Safety is excellent and should always be a focus. Zero deaths in a new Volvo by 2020 is an amazing goal and I think Volvo has the talent to pull it off. I just hope that they will continue to improve reliability and performance/driving enjoyment while working towards their safety goals.

@@VolvoCars It's been almost 20 years! We once had a 740, then a 850 wagon, later we got two 960 wagon (which we still have), a 850 sedan, and a xc70.

Volvo AB (trucks) and Volvo Cars are actually two separate companies. Volvo AB sold the car portion to Ford in 1999 and then Ford sold it to Geely in 2010.

My Wife owns a Volvo XC90 D5. It's fuel efficient. Quiet, powerful for towing, reliable and extremely safe. I have never driven a Full Sized SUV that can handle brake and avoid obstacles like it. Nothing can come close to it's comfort. It's also the most solid Vehicle I have ever been in. The Bonnet closing sound is like music.
I'm glad that I got my wife to get this car for our little family as I know that we will be safe in our Road Legal Tank with Leather seats and headlights.

I praise these serious breakthrough innovations in safety, though my heart will not give up associating the brand with the boxy 850 T-5 R, of course in sunburst yellow.

I never was a fan of Volvo... until I got one. I bought my XC 60 5 years ago, model 2014. Now I just ordered a new car, same color, a black XC60, model 2019, and I expect to receive it on decembrer or january 2019.

I love Volvo's (and own the C30 and S60).
The S60 (2012 model) has been repaired a few times already (at an extraordinary cost). Which makes me not keen to upgrade to another Volvo.
And I still don't understand how a BMW 1 series, can have less road noise than the S60. The insulation definitely needs to be improved.

There has been a demand for reproductions, going back several years, and I've seen what I believe are two reproduction or reissue styles. I wonder whether they are actually reproductions that are faithful to originals which changed during the manufacturing, or if they were just authorized as official replacements without assuring that they precisely replicate true originals.
