This is an absolutely fair prediction. Tooany people are setting very high expectations for the Bears because of how incredible their draft and trade went.
No but not because he won’t succeed but rather because the media is setting an unrealistic expectation for a rookie QB.
He could be that good tho, and the bears have good pieces. Caleb has always stepped up, if u watch the tape u can see it urself.

I think that’s a legitimate expectation, so if we fall a little short we’re not ready to fire people. I like the slow, steady progression we’ve been on. Nobody wants another great year followed by a house cleaning 2 years later.

with that receiver corp, TE group and RB group - opposing teams will be taking an enormous gamble any time they choose to make Williams the primary focus. Their roster at offensive skill positions is flawless.

This division realistically has 4 rosters that you can make playoff arguments with. I think 2 of the teams have SB ceilings (GB/Det). Ultimately it will come down to who wins the attrition battle. On average every division loses a QB to a lengthy injury, who will that team be? Also how quickly will Caleb get up to speed and will it be early enough to get to that 9/10 win area. Also can JJ get on the field and make a difference or will Darnold play good enough to win games.

The 3rd Lincoln Riley QB to go first overall but legit he may be the least talented of the 3 and a lot of his college numbers were because the college pass rush couldn't keep up with him after his pocket broke down. What's crazy is that the Carolina Panthers could've realistically had this Bears roster (at least on offense).
Speaking of the Carolina Panthers, last year their rookie was expected to have a great coaching setup. Yet, that rapidly fell apart. So, we have to be careful with the Bears' current setup (ironically).
