Basic Spanish: Days of the week in Spanish

- In 4 minutes you will learn how to say the days of the week in Spanish. You will hear the correct pronunciation for the days of the week and the you will repeat after me. Not only you will memorize and review the days of the week, you will also learn some EASY sentences to use in conversation and using the days of the week in Spanish.
Lunes - Monday
Martes - Tuesday
Miércoles- Wednesday
Jueves - Thursday
Viernes - Friday
Sábado - Saturday
Domingo - Sunday
Remember that in Spanish unlike English the days of the are not capitalized unless you are staring a sentence. Remember that in Spanish Wednesday, miércoles has an accent mark on to first "e" so that means your are going to speak louder right where the accent mark is.

Spanish was an official language of the Philippines until 1973.
I grew up speaking Spanish, lost it since my dad speaks English and wanted my mom to speak to us in English😂. I have to say the days of the week to get to a certain day. For example if I want to say Wednesday, I have to go “lunes martes ohh miércoles”

Dear Ana! Múchos gracias for this lesson, I am at the very beginning of this language, and all day I was trying to recall the days of the week, but I got only "lunes", "martes", "viernes", "sábado", and "domingo" in my mind... I know, most of'em got their names after the planets, like Luna (Moon), Mars, Mercury, Jupiter (Jove), and Venus; and the weekend days are named after "sabbath" (rest day) and "domine / domingo" (our Lord).
Now - thanks to you - I know, how to pronounce them. For example I didn't know, "viernes" is pronounced with "b", like "biernez", or like "Birne" auf Deutsch.
Of course I will subscribe to your channel.
Ps. I've noticed an amazing thing: "sábado" is pronounced like "szábádo" - and "szabad" means "free" in my language. "Szabad nap" means "free day" in hungarian. :-) Funny! :-D

MayRose Fortaleza malay, chinese and small unknown kingdom in ancient history they came to philippines for trading, and since then we have become a trading station for travelling merchant before we have been colonized for more than 300 yrs by spaniards that is why our ancestor is fluent in spanish, but after spaniard fall america and japan took us over that is why our language which is "filipino" is both influence by different country.
Philippines was a part of the Spanish Empire and named after King Philip II
