    I know this video is literally over a decade old, but I've just gotten on custom servers, and this, along with a friend, have really helped me get alot better at making levels. Wishing you the best!

    Problem of gravity os solved in LBP3 by adding "static" option. Yay!

    • @sammakeslego
      @sammakeslego Před 6 lety +6

      This is late but Static was in nearly every LBp game (idk about LBp 1+2 but is was in LBp PsVita which is old AF)

      @@sammakeslego How so? You mean black matter and gravity tweaker?

    • @Potatoboii2
      @Potatoboii2 Před 7 měsíci

      @@sammakeslego This is late but "nearly in every LBP game" is technically true, but in the most uncomfortable way possible, it's in PSP, Vita, Karting, and 3, which yeah, *is* most of the games, at least the majority of ones with create mode, but 3 is really the only one in that list that people would think to include.

    Comphermc, your levels are some of the best I ever saw. My brother is magnum131 and he is ALWAYS impressing the heck out of me with the things he tells me he learned from you and your levels. Well done, sir.

  • @EpicSpence
    @EpicSpence Před 12 lety +1

    I've been creating on lbp for years now. Never published a level. 16 unfinished projects. Got really fed up and disheartened. This type of level design is so much better. Things don't break when I move stuff and much more organised. Thank you so much for sharing this. I'm back on track now and no longer get fed up and frustrated. :)

  • @SupaBlank
    @SupaBlank Před 11 lety

    it means a piece of an object, or "prefab" in more professional settings.
    Basically it means you make a set piece to re-use in your level for later use, sometimes re-using it in different ways so it looks nothing like the original piece to add great detail and choice to your creations while speeding up the process. Hope that was clear... glad to help, have fun creating guys!

    Noticed the mic quality is better, good stuff, and welcome back. Also liked the new intro, it's a bit faster, and still gets the message across. And yeah I've been using that same trick with the not moving, but I also have it in a microchip with a thing that makes things unbreakable.

    @MasDouc Před 10 lety +9

    Personally, I like the look and feel of a handmade level better. The modular style looks so bland and sterile. Sure, it takes more time but the visual aspects are far better.

    • @fubernuckthree2022
      @fubernuckthree2022 Před 6 lety

      Massive Douche I agree

    • @based_dragon_0110
      @based_dragon_0110 Před 5 lety +5

      Modular level design doesn't feel sterile or bland. You're still the one making everything, it's just simpler and easier to do so with modular design.
      It greatly reduces the risk for breaking whole levels and having to delete them or wanting to change something that you accidentally made permanent.
      You can make levels of any build style feel organic. They all lead to the same product.
