If he actually went further into Jomtien he would see that there is lots of new improvements and that the beach is cleaner than in Pattaya. That tower he was at the base of is great to go to the top of for great 360 views and to take the tram or the zipline back down to the ground! Also chuckled about every shot of food being western food yet Thailand is known the world over for its amazing food.

You didn't mention about the Temple of Truth: It is made without any nails or screws. They use all traditional joint cuts to fit everything together structurally.

We could take our drinks onto the beach, sit in public lounge chairs and people (usually kids) would run around selling bottled beer from a bucket filled with ice. Does anything like that still happen?
The whole elephant thing there...not too keen on seeing the poor things chained by the ankle to a pole. Seen that at the old city, Ayutthaya . Not cool. I personally would NOT support that. Now, I have seen them in a free environment in a river or field, like up in Chaing Mai, THAT, I would support. Appreciate your work, thank ! 🤘😘🌬🌬➡️

Is Patay a good location as a base camp and is it feasible to drive to all the other beaches on Phuket from Pataya or is better to stay at another hotel away from Pataya? TIA.
Please dont go to places where you could ride the elephants. Even if youre just feeding them. Its really not animal friendly and gladly most Thai people are starting to recognise and these types of places are starting to close down. Go support Elephant shelters für example.

i would not recommend renting a car. Because its so easy to hire a private driver. I usually get the vans. for my friend and I.
Phuket is so far away from Pattaya. It would take well over a day.
