    This is gorgeous! It's so hard to find cake videos that are neither too simple nor too complex, repeating the same basic steps over and over (cutting out crumb coating the other layers was perfect); or, doing ridiculously complex decorations that just seem like a pain (these were so simple, yet hard enough work, and so beautiful!). Absolutely loved it!

    Hello, you are a real artist. I'm blown away by every video I watch. Really kudos to you. I've no words, your cakes are so beautiful. Thanks, Angel from France. 🤩👍

    That cake is so pretty.
    I was wanting a 3 tier mirror glaze cake for our wedding as I love the glossy finish. I was wanting to put some ribbons at the bottom of each tier but was told you can't add ribbons to glazed cakes, is this true? If so, what other technique can give a shiny look (or close to it) that can have ribbons added.

    Absolutely beautiful. Im in awe. You are a true artist. I have a similar cake order request for a 60th birthday. They want similar cascading crystals on a 3 tier but the picture they showed me has edible diamantes instead of sugar crystals. I actually prefer the sugar crystals...I showed them your cake and they also prefer the crystals. Do you have a tutorial on how to make the sugar crystals or can you recommend someone who does?
    Many thanks

      @sophisticakesbymary  Před 2 lety +1

      Actually I just used the Wilton brand sugar crystals. Not the sanding sugar. The crystals are a little chunkier

    Hi Mary thank you so much for such an informative cake tutorial. Do mirror glaze cakes have to be kept in the fridge or can it stand at room temperature please? 🌸

    • @sophisticakesbymary
      @sophisticakesbymary  Před 2 lety

      I would leave it in the fridge as long as you can. Especially in humid conditions. It is made with white chocolate which tends to want to soften pretty easy.

    Does this Mirror Glaze start to Soften and Droop when in a Warm Room?? Thanks!!

    • @sophisticakesbymary
      @sophisticakesbymary  Před rokem

      It will soften, but I left it at room temp for 4 hours, and it was fine. I would avoid a hot room for sure.

    Question: does the mirror glaze remain sticky or does it crust over in time?

    • @sophisticakesbymary
      @sophisticakesbymary  Před 2 lety +1

      It rai s a little sticky bur firms up. No crust really. Almost like the skin you get on pudding.
