    Ministry of Manpower should have taken the responsibility to recruit instead of letting "recruitment agencies" to recruit overseas for manpower. Many agencies take advantage of people who doesn't know the actual overall fees of working in Singapore and took a lot of advantage to make a big buck. This is what Singapore has become, a rich country with so many people in debt. One day the bubble will pop and no amount of reserves can pay off the debt.

    This isn't new, it has been going on for more than 15 years as far as i know. I knew of this when i started working in construction sector. The blangahdesh working as a middle man makes more money in one month compared to what i make in 3 years. And that guy is still working under China Jingye MCC.

    Its not the job but the pay.
    Only 400+ how will singaporean survive
    U need at least 1500 to survive in sg for basic needs rent(600-800)+utility+food and transport.
    If job i think anybody desperate enough will take it if the pay is enough to cover the living cost

    why PAP don't import them directly so they don't have to pay recruitment fees. everybody thinks they help build homes here. they are paid not free services.

    MOM are well aware of this situation, they have the power to check on agencies, how can they allowed the workers to pay recruitment fees.....this is Singapore......we have to be fair to these foreign workers....🤨🤨

    Mostly in the construction field ,the boss companies are making money on the misery of the workers.
    However ,boss says ،they give job to workers who will use this money for their family .It’s better than ask the alms.
    In the country like Singapore without Union Workers ,the workers are not protected.
    All people are finding their counts except those who died,or sick ,or sink into depression.
    We are all human ,we are all different.Your limit of fatigue is not the same than an other person .Your limit of stress is not the same than an other person.
    Maybe your colleague is happy ,but you don’t have the same limit ,so you are sinking into depression.
    Consider workers or even salary like human ,not like a robot who must do always more to generate money that will benefit for shareholders.

    You'll only see change once about 100 migrant workers commit a series of suicide due to depression related to non payment of salaries, cheating them through money etc.

  • @projacques07
    @projacques07 Před 3 lety +2

    These workers need to tell what really happened to their family back home, so that to spread the awareness not to fall into these cheat schemes, or else more will find themselves being enslaved just to get a job secured and get salaries of peanuts. These have been happening for ages, hidden corruption is why these things get buried eventually, exploitation is global. Remember who built our homes, roads and keep our city clean, most of these migrants were and are.
