Family and I had a great time there last year. Free putt putt, Driving range, ping pong, nice pools, karaoke, parking, nature trail, tennis, poolside games throughout the day. All included for free. Would definitely recommend and would go again. I recommend upgrading to the 1 bedroom suite. Much better.
Here’s the thing. Show we where you can sleep 6-8 people for $200 a night. This place offers a great value for the numbers of beds it offers. I can deal with outdated. Who cares? Our forefathers use to sleep on a barn and poop in an outhouse. I think we will be okay in a “dated room”.
There are other hotels in this area that would offer a similar, multi-room setup that could sleep 6-8 people around the same price. I can only speak to my own experience at this hotel and based on that and my own preferences, I wouldn't recommend staying here.
Ive stayed there multiple times through AFVC and never had a problem.
The bathroom and lighting looks dated, well water sounds like the only downside but I grew up using spring water from a common spring and it was clean and smell free so could be down to personal opinion. Then again florida is basically all swamp lagoon/smelly water inland.
Either way for a place to sleep and leave during the day to do parks and family things this still looks reasonable if at a good price.
I thought this place was good too until this past weekend.. rude front desk, mistakes they made were put to me like it was my mistake, I got a bag stolen by the pool, AC didn’t work, and to top it off there was dried blood on a chair!!! If housekeeping misted that what else was funky in there??
No compensation made at all
I was robbed too. Stoked my purse and most valuable. I feel inside job. How did the thief get into our LOCKED room. 🧐🤮👮♀️
I stayed in a full condo and it was very nice.
Bad experience. Hotel room robbed. No recommendations until they property has adequate security and camera throughout the property. No concern from the front desk about my thief. Room was much like being described in video. I’m sure they make enough tourist money to update. 🤮🤮👮♀️
did it have a washer and dryer?
Not within the room as advertised on Hotels.com (which may be an issue on that website rather than Star Island). Instead, I had to drive my car to the other side of the complex to wash my clothes in another building.
The unit B Deluxe 1 Bedrooms have a washer & dryer in the room but Unit A Mini Suites do not have washer & dryer in room.
Do you happen to know what building this was in? We will be there in September for 2 weeks in One Bedroom Deluxe which is bigger with full kitchen and washer/dryer in unit. Full gym on property was important to me as well. It is free for us as I had a ton of Wyndham points. Thanks for the video.
I believe it was Building 14, it was just to the right of the main registration building.
@@themeparktribune Wow, building 14 is a Star Island building and right on the water. I’m surprised you didn’t like that building. I think it’s because you were in unit A. If they had put you in unit B (One Bedroom Deluxe) you might have had a better experience. You would have had a beautiful terrace overlooking the water. Thanks for your response, appreciate it.
