Like somehow you'd no longer need to buy food, clothing, shelter,insurance or anything else you might want.
They donât care. Those in power have enough wealth to last generations. When their futures are not at stake, the only thing that matters is profit now.
When things like that are said i don't think they are referring to you, me or other regular people who hold almost no money. They are talking about the people who have most of the money, they wouldn't spend it.

I have heard many complaints about the lack of trust in government and mass media. The proposed solution is to give the government more power to regulate speech.
I believe, and perhaps this is crazy, that a more effective way to restore trust in the institutions would be for them to deserve it. Which they presently donât.

There's no difference in principle between lying for the benefit of a group/society and lying for the benefit of your own particular family/social group. Where do you draw the line? Once you say it's OK to deliberately lie for a benefit in one instance, it becomes difficult to sustain an argument that lying for personal gain is inherently wrong in principle. In my view "pro social lying" isn't warranted, any more than it's warranted to lie for personal gain in general. How about being honest & just letting the market decide? It'll all work out in the end & honesty is the best policy.
