I know I got a little bit of homer in me, but I am seeing a bir more of a 6-6 season. Wins coming from Indiana State, Oregon State, Nebraska (if it is at Purdue which I believe it is), Illinois, Northwestern, and Indiana. I would love to see an upset against Notre Dame, but it is hard to say what kind of team Purdue will be that early in the year,
I did make my prediction earlier, but I didn’t take some other stuff into consideration. I’m a big Purdue fan, so maybe some of the wins I predict are more of a bias, but here’s what I think. 6-6, beating Indiana State, Oregon State, Nebraska, Illinois, Northwestern, and Indiana. I think Michigan State and Notre Dame could be close games.
As a Purdue fan, this could be a boom or bust type of season for us. I think Purdue fans will put too much stock into our record at the end of the season, unjustly. I truly don't see Ryan Walters being on the hot seat unless we only win 1 game or worse and there's zero improvement, That saying, this is a path to a bowl game and potentially a good bowl game. Floor: 1-11, win against Indiana St. Ceiling: 9-3, wins against Indiana St., Notre Dame, Oregon St., Nebraska, Illinois, Northwestern, Penn St., MSU, and IU Most likely: 5-7, wins against Indiana St., Oregon St., Illinois, Northwestern, MSU, and IU People will call me crazy, but Purdue has a lot of winnable games, 8 to be exact with 2 massive underdog games, but they are home games. Obviously IN St., but having Nebraska, Northwestern, and Penn St. at home increases our chances of a win. Oregon and Notre Dame will be long shots, but Purdue has proven to beat the odds and both schools will have new QBs. OR St., MSU, and IU have new coaches which could help Purdue out even though they're road games. Illinois will be a close game,, but winnable. The only losses that are completely set in stone, in my opinion, are Wisconsin and OSU. If Purdue won those games, it'd be a shock to 99.99% of the fanbase. That saying, I believe Purdue will most likely go 5-7, as stated above.
Injuries were an issue last year, particularly with the O-Line, and Card even was out some near the end of the season. All signals are that they're healthy now, so that should be a huge differential. ISU, Oregon St, Illinois, Northwestern, and IU should all be very winnable, and nebraska could be a sneaky win since it's homecoming and nebraska has been flukey lately. 6-6 is tough but definitely possible.
Lmao this is a horrible take!! The WR room was horrible last year those guys will not be missed. TE Max Klare might be one of the the best receiving TE in the B10. The O-line was so beat up last year they could barely field a line. They are healthy now and brought in a bunch of big bodies for the o-line. With the much improved line and big time additions in the WR room Cards second year in this scheme the offense should blow up in production and be one of the better in the B10. The Defense should also take a Hughe step forward and I would not be shocked if they are not the best or close to the best defense in the B10. The addition at CB from the transfer and thieamen still at safety pared with a dominat dline teams should look out. Look for the Boilers to take a massive step in the right direction. Second year bump for Coach Walter’s I’m going 7-5 or 8-4 with an upset over either ND or Oregon at home. I honestly don’t know how Vegas and everybody is sleeping on Purdue.

Look at the MSU game too. Should be a pick'em game

Purdue plays Oregon at home bro
And beats Oregon.
Biggest improvement for Purdue will be the coaching. Steep learning curve last season for Walters and Harrell.
3-9 wins against Indiana st, Oregon State and Northwestern

Great take! Just recent history we will win at least one of those big games
If Oregon beats Ohio State, Purdue will beat Oregon.
3-9
