Ranj along with Bindy were responsible for hundreds of punjabi youth in South Van, Richmond, Surrey etc getting involved in the game. These guys were and are sadly still worshipped all over BC and in other Indian communities. It's sad to think that half these guys had the brains to be legitimate business men and successful in life but unfortunately their journey on earth had different plans. Hopefully the youth can see that a life full of crime, gangs drugs etc is just an illusion. Dirty drug money 💰 is temporary pleasure just like everything else in life. We need more positive role models in life investing in our youth and next generations. Why are the youth not looking up to the likes of Jujhar Khaira, Arjan Bhullar, heck even Jinder Mahal to name a few. There are TONS of positive role models out there these days. A lot of these OGs grew up in horrible households, dealt with discrimination, zero self love and didn't know any better and didn't have many positive role models back then. There is no excuse now. It's time for the community to wake up and stop keeping and competing with the Joneses of the world. The cycle continues unfortunately and it's only gotten worse.

A lot of these kids turn to crime drugs, and gangs, due to low self esteem and parental neglect. Many of them live broken households with parents who don't give a shit about them. A lot of people in the sikh community Work 80 hours a week at the docks and factories and are never home and wonder why their kids are hanging with the wrong crowd. They think they are doing right by their kids by working such long hours so they can give their kids a good life or whatever. If you aren't home to raise your kids, they are going to raise themselves the best they know how. If they don't have a family at home, they will look for another family on the streets. Also blame hollywood and the media for glamorizing the gangster lifestyle "bling bling" If you are a gangster you are cool, you'll get all the women, cars, and money. When in reality, most of these dudes end up in prison or dead before they turn 30.

Thats right bro, i myself was gonna join one of a gangs in surrey last year because i was dealing with depression and addiction only at the of 20 yrs. Now im clean for almost 6 months and when i look back on my worst days that i had gone through made me realize that i was so fcked up in my head while looking at these gangsters as godfather but turned out i did not wanted to be an OG but to get love and appreciated. And all of my addiction problems and as i said i was going to join the gangs is because i had a bad company but now i dont and changed my mindset just after i got overdosed last year two times in a month and 2nd time on my birthday. After those days i did not touch anything and disconnected with all my friends and now i am doing what i always loved which is music . Thought i should share it caus i agree with you bro✌️

@@akashthakur4489 proud of you bro for turning your life around. God forgives so make the best of your journey in life. Drugs and gangs are exactly that a horrible addiction just like anything else. Everything is temporary in life you don't take anything with you. It's sad because lots of parents don't know any better. Tons of new immigrants struggle adjusting to new life In Canada and abroad just like the parents of Bindy Ranj etc did in the 70s albeit much worse with discrimination and as a lot of OGs will tell you majority turned to Alcohol. Look at the Punjabi music industry it's all full of Jatt Life and Daru. What happened to the good Ole punjabi music in the 80s and 90s that had meaning to it. Npw every new music video is about flashing fancy rides, guns bling etc. No wonder our youth continue to get mixed up in this dangerous circle of life. In the end parents suffer. Maybe if they worked less and stopped competing with the joneses. Just drive around Surrey. Every Desi apna trying to roll in 100k SUVs and live in mega million dollar homes working two jobs for what,? For acceptance from the community? Why not invest in your children? Don't let Baba and Bibi raise them. Who know how many uncles and auntia put their kids in sports but are totally disengaged and are sitting in their luxury suvs on their iPhone while their child is looking for their parent on the sideline? Show them REAL LOVE and real SUPPORT whatever THEIR dream may be. Stop the materialistic lifestyle. Apnay got too much money now and don't know what to do with it. Maybe invest that time in your children?? When did we become such a materialistic community? It's just sad overall.

Because there majority of Indians in America are wealthier and highly educated (doctors, lawyers, IT sector etc).... while in Canada you have more of the working class/middle class. And in Canada they have been around and established a lot longer. In America you have mostly black and Hispanic gangs (which don't exist in Canada outside of Toronto and maybe Montreal). Majority of the Indian gangs in Canada are Punjabi and they're treated how blacks are treated by society in general.

Back to Punjab basically all clans are farmers by profession due to atrocities done to them by invaders from outside in Punjab made all of them to have short temper. Britishers were smart to realise it. They gave them title of martial race and gave jobs in army. Infact they made whole regiments of army based on their race and clans. Called it jatt regiment as most of clans you are mentioning here are jatts. They made them fight in world wars and so on. Same did Indian gov they make special arrangements for these clans to give them jobs in army. Utilise their short temper and love towards arms. Recently trend of going in army is decreasing and thanks to Canadian super easy immigration system. Now all of these clans are moving towards canada. Canada soon need to realise they need to utilise these people by giving them jobs in army or police. If not it will be mess for Canadian system. Moreover it was not that much of immigration few decades back but now hardly any one is left back home in India families of families have immigrated to Canada. Canada is going to have a blast in coming years. Utilise them, council them, give them jobs in army etc.

Everyone assumes that Ranj was tryin to get back into the game and that’s y he got killed because he just got outa jail, it could’ve bin true I’m not too sure but I do know that when he got sentenced in the states everyone thought he had gone bad and giving info on someone, it was a very lenient sentence by US standards, whether he actually did rat or not I’m not sure but I know for a fact that a lot of ppl turned on him and his really close guys right when he got sentenced.

I've searched to find his Plea agreement but have had no luck. You can tell if someone has debriefed simply by the wording of the Plea. My lawyer pointed this out to me while I was housed at Seatac. I'm either not very good at locating his documents, or they have been sealed. I can't say one way or another. It is very unfair to label him NG without actually getting a look at his Plea or hearing from someone who can confirm that they were jammed up from something RC went on record for. I will say that through my experiences over the years in terms of breaking international laws, mainly US laws, 99.99% of people cooperate in the US. Out of all my co-accused, myself and Ross Legge were the only ones who didn't. I have that in writing. The system works differently in the US. Defendants are not allowed to possess statements of those who cooperate against them. You are allowed to view them in the presence of your lawyer, full stop. They are protected documents. Unlike in Canada, material such as this is given to defendants as part of their disclosure package. If someone wanted to make a better finding as to whether RC cooperated, locate his Plea Agreement. Plea Agreements are part of the public record. If it isn't available, you have your answer.

@@colinmartin5994 yeah, a cop I know told me that even every small crew in the lower mainland has at least one rat. The bigger gangs, have lots of leaks. I think he went away for went away for around 3.5 years. But it took the states 10 years to extradite him. That’s why ppl were like wtf, y would they spend all that time and money to bring him there to charge him and then only sentence him to 3.5 years. 200 keys of heroin, 10 years of extradition processes and a 3.5 year sentence? But, as I mentioned I’m not positive. Maybe those guys got proof, but I don’t know for sure. But I do know that another guy from that crew, a year after Ranj died was caught in the US by the DEA, but that might just be a coincidence. But being an East Indian guy in a California prison wouldn’t be fun. I knew of another guy that got caught in Texas with a bunch of keys and he got quite a bit of time, he prolly had an even harder time in a Texas prison being East Indian. I’m not sure if he’s out yet or not.

@@Boss_Man00 One also has to keep in mind that the US will indict a ham sandwich just because. It may be that they didn't have much of a case on him and also consider 11 years had passed. Were witnesses still around and available were officers involved in the file still around and just how difficult might it be after all that time to put a trial on? A few factors one should consider. I'm not sure if you listened to that recording recently put out where Jamie Bacon is allegedly talking to Matt Johnson and seemingly implying that Johnson should cooperate. Jamie said some telling things about how high-profile gangsters are all snitches. Can you Imagine the amount of disclosure he's had a chance to review and who has said what? I believe him when he made those remarks about people all being NG. He is in a position to know. He's put himself in a very difficult position but from what he's been through I doubt he cares.
