Fun fact: We did an experiment in my microbiology class and toilet seats were pretty clean! By far the dirtest things in our households were kitchen sponges and keyboards!

Biochemist here! Thanks for presenting some real scientific facts! Yes, finding microbes on all these surfaces you swabbed is NORMAL and not necessarily gross. Microbes rule the world.
Why am I so itchy when watching this episode all of a sudden
This channel is my entire childhood. I've been watching since I was like 8.
They're making such a big deal about the total area covered by bacterial growth... which is mostly decided by how much of an area they swab in the dish. All this tells you is how inconsistent your swabs are, you dinguses.
God, I wish a single one would get the agar spread right >_

It depends on who you ask, mostly. STEM is still more commonly used, but STEAM has gained more traction with the inclusion of "arts" in order to encourage creative thinking/problem solving in science, as well as everyday life.
