- Raider Nation… whether you love him or not, I must admit Derek Carr is the GREATEST RAIDERS QB I HAVE SEEN as long as I’ve been a fan. Many other QBs have came to the team to do the job and failed to live up to the hype. (Except for Jason Campbell) Though there were couple of head scratching moments and in the last video I said I wasn’t a fan of his style of play, I have to admit, Derek Carr could of possibly been the NEXT big thing for this Franchise let’s be honest… Real Raider fans know he was never the same and fell off after his injury in 2016 against the Colts.
On the other hand Raider Nation this is a special tribute to one of the most ELECTRIFYING QBs we’ve had and I’m VERY glad I got to see ball out with my favorite team. All I ever wanted was a solid QB as long as I grew up a Raiders fan and finally got to see one 💯

Plus that year Carr was ridiculous in the 4th and overtime so they couldve went deep in the playoffs then Gruden comes in and tears the whole team apart

People can crap on Carr all they want. This dude made the best of what he could in a franchise in which was drowning in constant chaos. Not many QB's can ever pull out of that. His stats speak for themselves and his 4th Quarter Comeback numbers are nothing to scoff at. Give this man a stable team with a formidable defense, he'll lead you to playoffs and playoff wins.

That was our year. We coulda been 1st seed in playoffs. Defense wasn't great but got after the ball. Offense firing on all cylinders. If only DC wouldn't of got hurt.

As I watched these games, I continuously looked at how many times we would score and how often we would have to come back and score again after the defense had given the lead right back. Also, how many different players he had to play with at WR.

Been a DC fan since we drafted him. He was bashed more than any QB in the league and for no reason. Colin Cowherd did a great bit called guess the QB. He put 2 QBs stats on the screen and had you pick which QB you'd want. It highlighted how good DC really was, and it is worth a watch. DC was the glue for this team for a long time and I'm sad to see him go. I hope he finds a good team and happiness.

Carr was born to be a raider. Fresno and Bakersfield guy who grew up loving the black and silver. He gave is everything to this franchise. I'm glad he was the last Oakland and first Vegas Raiders Quarterback. Raider Nation truly loves this guy as much as I do. I will miss him in this uniform and will continue to follow him wherever he goes. This guy has been through so much with the ruggs, AB, Jon gruden situations, team relocation. He's always maintained a selfless and positive attitude. How can you not like this guy? He puts God first and will one day be a super bowl champion. Love you DC
Exactly, he’s never had a true #1 until Adams, Cooper had potential but his heart and attitude was never there, therefore not making him a true #1. Ruggs got injured just first year and killed an innocent lady the year after

WE may not have won the game, but the Chiefs game in Oakland in 2018 was spectacular. Everyone had us written off and we went toe to toe with the MVP that year.
It was definitely time to move on but how can you have hate for Carr , Bro was a Raider. I got nothing but luv and respect for him 🫡 R4LYFE ☠️🏴☠️

I was a PSL holder and a season ticket holder when they moved back to Oakland. My sister was a Raideret for 8 years and ended up marrying Josh taves One of the players under Gruden. Thank you, and I absolutely agree with you. Carr’s playing style might of not been ELITE but he definitely did something every last Raiders QB couldn’t do and deserves RESPECT. It’s very sad & disappointing seeing people bash him & give him crap over McDaniels when people forget to realize how on fire he was in his first 3 games last year & help the Raiders make the playoffs with no receivers towards the end last year 🤦🏾♂️

TBH I think DC was the only stable thing in the Raider organization for the last 4-5 years. They had something building with him when Del Rio and company were there, then ownership decided Gruden was the Messiah who was going to raise them to a new level and frankly even before the Gruden drama you could see his system wasn't working. It was outdated and teams caught on to his smoke and mirrors scheme pretty quick. That system didn't fit Carr at all. AB's BS didn't help either. I thought when Carr had Cooper and Crabtree along with some good OLinemen they really started to make headway but all that got turned off overnight and they were never the same. I hope Carr is able to blow to doors off the league where ever he ends up cause I do think he's a better QB than he gets credit for and he's such a good guy to have represent your team, the Raiders don't and didn't deserve him I realize now.

That Fibula injury in 2016 vs the Colts robbed them out of the AFC west crown and a potential AFC championship matchup between the Raiders vs Patriots at New England with Khalil Mack being all over Tom Brady's @ss and harassing him in the process. They would've finished the season with a 13-3 record because they would've beaten the Broncos on the road for sure...but with Carr out, the team went downhill. Like Townie from the Waterboy said "OH NO. WE SUCK AGAIN!!!!" as soon as Carr went out with that fibula injury.
Some people forget that Gannon's time was 20 years ago. And he got lucky for plenty of his close wins just like Carr. Two of the 3 best Raiders QB's. The Snake sits on top though.

I’ll take the house of thrills over allegiant stadium. Oakland was a special place; tailgating was genuine and you were amongst family. Also, you would never see the opposing teams take over our stadium. Yes it wasn’t glitzy like Allegiant but that was the point; why make the opposing team feel comfortable. I wasn’t there for the concessions i was there for a game.

Interesting, no matter how much Raider Nation hated McDaniels (HC), 1/2 the nation is grateful for him to get rid of Carr. Me, I was wow'd by him in a final pre-season game in his rookie season. Still a big fan. Soe says he's average, I don't I think he was a good QB for the Raiders, but put in a bad situation with no D help. Also, he was a different QB before he busted his leg, although he got a little of that old Carr back under Gruden, then well you know what happened and the rest is history.
So sad n frustrating to see all the Henry Ruggs highlights....
