A lot of this stuff nowadays about colic wasn't even heard of back then. I was born in '93 and my parent's said I had horrible colic as a baby. Their dr for me never even told them about trying to switch my formula. Not even sure how well known that even was back then or if it had even been proven as a successful way to help colic back then. It's amazing how far treatments have come for colic. But we survived it back then and we know our parent's did the best back then with what they had. So thank you for putting up with a colicy baby who was driving you crazy because I know I drove my parents crazy with my nonstop crying.

As my son was under 3 months old he literally couldn't poop for days. I was changing diapers one day and his dad held his legs to help. I went down to the side to grab a fresh diaper and our son started SPLASHING OUT his poop like a bomb. His dad accidentally held his legs even higher so kiddo spilled all over the wall from bottom to top. I went back up looked at the wall and at dad. It was such a relief too for us parents that it finally plopped out after all the struggle the past days. We just stood in silence for some seconds and started cleaning up without talking. We even didn't talk about it at all later. But I will never forget that moment in my life. That shit was hilarious 💀
My children are grown now. All in their 20s, and they still ask me to rub their belly when it's upset. It's so flipping sweet, I do circle rubs. My oldest had me rubbing her belly half her pregnancy! My son-in-law would bring her over for Belly rubs! 😂 She cried and "said he doesn't do it right! He pats instead of rubs!" I've never felt so loved and needed. Even when they're grown, they still need you for simple tasks and comforts.
Just bc we grow up doesn't mean we don't still need our moms and dads. My mom was there when I had myfirst daughter and was watching her when I had my second. Both of my parents were so much help to my husband and me. Always needed ma'am, always. The only downside to being the baby... my parents decided to have me when my siblings... some grown, the others almost grown when I came along, but I didn't get to have them as long as my siblings did. I miss them both, so much.
OMG, I want to share. My baby was so constipated and doctor on the phone was just so casual "use a dispository." It was the worse thing I had to do to a 4 week old. I would put it there and would come out. So I held her cheeks shut. After about 30 seconds the load came. It was so horrible for me, but after the amount and the RELIEF ON HER FACE, I felt better. And so did she as she went straight to sleep. I am glad I never had to do that again. This is a very informative video.
I think this just helps with gas and making pooping easier, it won't help real deal constipation tho. But even for adults, popping with your legs squatted is recommended. That's why squatty pottys exist lmao. Also, the doc told you to use a *suppository, and they are supposed to inserted pretty deep to keep them from coming out.
