Thanks for another great video guys. One correction though on the shutdown sequence when you power the scope off. This may have been updated since your demo model, but if you press any button during the 5 second power off countdown, it will stop the shutdown. Thats how it works on my Rattler V2 so I’m assuming that’s how it works on this scope.
Also something I love in the V2’s, the power off countdown doesn’t take up the whole middle of the screen anymore like it does in the Rattler V1s and the Adder, it’s just at the bottom so it doesn’t block your view.
Can verify this is accurate
Hope that they offer a 1x-3x which would be great for me since I hunt in Piney woods, cutovers, river bottoms with occasionally open fields, pipelines and powerlines
They are getting closer to an optics type magnification range. If they accomplish it, a super high resolution sensor won't be as important because digital zoom will come far later in the zoom range.
🤔…also, the Rattler v1 has already has an update to fix the “oops” power button… now it’s 5 seconds to shutdown, and push any button to stop it. …and other tweaks.

Do you need to zero the reticle for both objective lenses?
You do not need to. There is an option to zero them separately at different distances but it’s not necessary and seems like like something that could cause confusion in the field. But one zero works for both lenses.
Great review again guys!!! I have three AGM’s two scopes and handheld, would have loved to have had this to begin with , looks like the perfect do it all, been running my buddies RIX l3 a little and I really like the “ocular” zoom feature on it , I understand how both work and the differences.
Now I’m torn between the RIX l6 640, and the clarion 384, there basically the same price, like to know what everyone else thinks?

Great review! Is the AGM mount adjustable on the base of the Clarion? It looks like you might be able to move the scope forward or backward some or even turn the base around so you could adjust it some for a bolt action rifle? Thanks

I have a gen 1 agm rattler in 256 and 384. Both good tools, but this new clarion with double base mags is a game changer, in my opinion.
Question for you - is the 640 res that much better for $2k more?
384 with a 2x and 4.5x base. Even if 1x zoom (4x and 9x at 256 res) vs 640 with a 2x and 3x base (4x and 6x 384), (8x and 12x 256 res). Lots to consider.
Just a quick note for you, when you digitally zoom up with the 384, they resolution isn’t 256, but 192. The resolution cuts in half each time you double the magnification digitally. Still a usable picture most of the time, but not quite as good as if it were 256.
What is with Hikmicro? Are they AGM too? The Thunder zoom 2.0 seems to be the exact same thing. Kind of confusing as Hikmicro has identical units to the AGM models with different names...
Could it be that Hik is the OEM? 🤔🫣😉
Hik Micro is the manufacturer over seas. Hik does not sell optics in the USA. AGM works with Hik to design optics and have them made and they sell them here. Hik sells optics themselves is other parts of the world.
I need to stop watching all these new scope reviews. Now I'm torn between this scope and the RICO RH50-V2 MK1. The RICO is MUCH more expensive, but is the image quality any better and by how much? 4.5X 384 vs 3X 640. Both, unfortunately, made in China. Which has better overall quality and reliability? Would you say AGM is budget brand and InfiRay is mid?

Why are there two levers on the mount when the rattler only has one? I thought they are the same housing
To be quite honest we’ve never understood the single vs double lever mount variation choices with the different AGM models. A single lever is just as strong as a double and it seems like guys who get a double want a single and a guy who gets a double wants a single.lol
Agm states because it’s heavier unit🤷♂️I prefer double latch systems on all my scopes and will get one of these for my v2 rattler when available. Single/double have both worked fine for me with ADM mounts.

2lbs with the mount and battery.
Im in the market for something light to go on my SBR setups but the options of this has my attention.. I currently have the Thermion which is just too large a format for these. @@TheLateNightVisionShow
