    Two things to note:
    Keep in mind that Recovery and especially Intellect are more expensive to raise by mods. So for general use it makes sense to focus on those stats and raise other stats via mods.
    Also: The top and bottom three stats each share about half of the total. So for example it's not possible to get 20 Discipline and Intellect on one piece.

    Interesting perspective. I tend to pick stats based on subclass unless I’m playing warlock (recovery, discipline, split intellect/mobility) because warlocks have so many uses for their nades

    Resilience is actually very useful in a few very specific circumstances when it comes to master or grandmaster pve content. A combination of the right resil and resist mods can save you from getting one shot by, for example, vandals with wire rifles.

      Came here to say this. High difficulty content basically requires really high resilience. Sorry Pyro but I have to dislike this one. I'm not on the popular opinion bandwagon of hating Resilience. It's just as good, if not better, than recovery on titan (I typically prioritize 100 on each for my titan).
    The shield DOES matter in high level activities like GMs. I routinely notice the difference in more shield strength with my titan GMs vs my Hunter and Warlock. To add on top of that the class ability being tied to resilience for Titans.
    To my Titan mains out there, I love Pyro, but do your own testing on that one. Resilience is a fantastic stat for Titans to pair with high recovery.

    • @ReShaggy
      @ReShaggy Před 3 lety +3

      Yeah I don't care about using supers that much either. I'm usually holding onto it in a gm for a specific enemies. I usually stat discipline, resilience, and recovery. @LordEmpyreal Před 3 lety +6

    There is one key point the stat total can help you with. Min-maxing. 63 is a magic number because 63 is the lowest possible stat role that can potentially be a part of a maximum stat build.
    So while, yes, distribution is extremely important, 63 is an important number and anything lower should be considered a temporary piece to round out a build at best.
    You also completely failed to mention that stats only make a difference when they cross a "10" threshold. Your Armor stat being at 48? Is actually only giving you 40 armor, the remaining 8 points do not affect your resilience or barricade cooldown whatsoever. Which makes those 8 stat points an even more blatant waste, as if they were in Discipline instead, you'd have 30 discipline and they'd be making a difference.

    I actually find I don't need a high intellect stat for PvE. I tend to hold my super for purposeful moments like a damage phase, chunking down a champion, capturing a plate in a nightfall, or a when we need high volume add clear (depending on the super). If I know I'm going to have my super very often, I usually end up holding onto it for those moments anyway. For me, Tier 6 intellect is about the sweet spot, unless I'm running geomag chaos reach, Celestial Nighthawk, or Ursa Furiosa in GMs.

    Those 8 resilience points and 9 strength points you’re losing would be enough for me to hold off on masterworking that set. People, if you’re short on upgrade materials, take the time and do the math on your sets. Don’t spend your materials before you know how to your stats will look in the end.
    Also, I personally have never felt the benefit of having higher than tier 7 intellect in PvE content. If you want to not care about intellect as a stat on your armor, but still run tier 10, you can tie it to your grenade using elemental ordnance and font of wisdom. Run tier 8 or higher discipline and a grenadier weapon and you can essentially always have your intellect at 100, even if it says 23 in the character window. Yes it costs two mods but it’s very much worth it for ability based builds.

    • @boomish69
      @boomish69 Před 3 lety +1

      That’s exactly what I’ve been working towards, not sure I understand what you mean by Intellect at 100? I ran some strikes this eve and the grenade spam was awesome, I am tryin to include intellect but it’s a third choice over Recovery & Discipline , now this video has me thinking have I been doing it wrong?

    • @bjcooper4365
      @bjcooper4365 Před 3 lety +1

      @@boomish69 font of wisdom temporarily (30 seconds) makes your intellect tier 10 after picking up a matching elemental well. So if you have 23 total on your armor, font of wisdom completely forgets that and makes it 100 while it’s active.
      So yeah run high recovery and discipline but in your combat style mod slot put elemental ordnance and font of wisdom. Then you can basically forget intellect as a stat as long as you pick up those wells whenever you see them.

    I use high mobility on hunter in PvP for a lot of dodges with Gemini and the ice dodge. Then I have high strength for the throwing stars. If I’m running arc I max my discipline with shinobus vow and skips. 30 second grenades if I miss and high mobility to always have a dodge to get out a bad situation

      It's not. Even when you're not playing a Titan, Resilience does effect what can and cannot kill you. In general play it honestly doesn't matter very much, but in GMs and such it can be the difference between getting one shot by snipers, or surviving.

  • @hanknorris5642
    @hanknorris5642 Před 3 lety +1

    I agree for warlock, but hunter I need >=80 mobility. Yeah, I can use Dragon's Shadow to get the boost, but shortening my mobility charge time gets me my DS dodge more often.

    That bit of info about Pit of Heresy Boss guaranteeing an Armor with 2 stat spikes is big for me. Thanks.
    I'd argue tho that between eating grenades and throwing down stasis Turrets, Warlocks value Discipline highly (but past data has showed us that Discipline 40 is the sweetspot before diminishing returns). I agree tho that Recovery and Mobility are the stats that players will notice the effects of the most, they're the ones that keep you alive the most, I know some Warlocks and Titans undervalue mobility and think that it's a only Hunter stat but that strafe and sprint speed from cover to cover in high level activities can't be understated.
