10:20 what are the top 3 things you've learned from your WHOOP Journal? Or life behaviors you've changed?
Thanks for the video - really good summary
Very useful review. Great job!
Very helpful, thank you.
my 4.0 never charged properly since I got it at the beginning of the year, I've finally been able to get a replacement shipped to me this week
Does all your information go into the apple fitness app properly now to keep track of all your workouts?
I was hoping Whoop 4.0 allows me to change the sleep sched, but I haven't found it yet. I only need 6-6.5 hrs/night. I've gotten by with that for most of my teen and adult life. In a pinch, 5.5 hrs is okay. But when I dropped below that every single day, long-term, the sleep deficit and other ailments combined to destroy my health and especially memory for over 10 years. Still recovering.
I wish whoop had full integration to apple health and fitness app. Its not complete, HRV, calories, and other metrics are not transferred to Apple Health. Also,The whoop hardware is overall more than great , but sometimes I wish I can use my Apple Watch instead and use the whoop software if that makes sense. Maybe in the future they will add that, I say it will reach a bigger target market. But I can also see how it can hurt them..
Just my thoughts, thanks for the review!
Only downside with Apple wat h is you have to take it off to charge. Whoop is dope for not having to do that
I agree with the original post overall. If I was Whoop, I would allow it. And this way, it would force users to fund their own hardware. I also wonder if they won’t do it though b/c they can’t control the hardware to work the way they want it to with their software and apps. Who knows…maybe one day they will…
Hey bro. Tks for the review. Does whoop pair with Garmin?
sort of but not really. You can have WHOOP pair with Apple Health/Strava and then have Garmin also pair with them... so that works pretty well
Im in the same page as you with the sleep coach. My highest recovery score ever was achieved with a 6.5 hour sleep.. meanwhile the sleep coach is telling me to sleep at 7:49 pm in order to get a peak recovery at 5:45 am.. (9+ hours)
Just doesn’t make sense. I’ve noticed the HRV has the most impact on recovery.
There’s a lot of different factors tho
Can you add custom activities to the daily journal e.g. "Green tea before bed" ?
Unfortunately not, but there are a lot of options. That said, I have sort of made custom ones… I’ll choose behaviors that I don’t have interest in tracking and I’ll track something else in their place. So for example for the green tea before bed, I would track that under “cat in bedroom” since I wouldn’t track that lol. Hope that makes sense.
Have you tried the withings sleep analyser?
I have it but have not tested it out throughly yet. I hope to get to it at some point soon
I use my galaxy watch at the gym to log exercises and reps. This gives me an overview of what sessions i have done lately and what its time to do next. Is this available in the whoop app? Can you easily see back or leg sessions?
no WHOOP isn't really designed for workout tracking.. more for analyzing daily/weekly/monthly HRV & Sleep data. Galaxy is great but doesn't yet display HRV unfortunately (correct me if I'm wrong about this)
Hello. Does anyone know does Whoop work over the tattoos? Thanks
Yeah mate
how much sleep you all getting?? Hopefully more than me! 😉
Man, please read ‘why we sleep’ by Matthew Walker.
Those 5-6 hour nights are killing you!
Thanks for the video review! Re the sleep target, it does sound like you might be upset that Whoop doesn't tell you what you want to hear.
Maybe your intuition is right, or maybe their interpretation of the science is right and the sleep debt will catch up with you, and other people who are determined to aim for minimum sleep.
