I love to see that there are more women like me that work in tech or as a swe. I’m more feminine than other women that I’ve met who work in tech and sometimes feel a bit alone. I even started dressing less ‘fashionable’ in school because of this, to not stand out as much and to be taken seriously. But since started working, I do to not care anymore and dress how I want again! ❤ Thank you for making videos and hope you can pursue your dreams as an artist one day! Keep it up! ❤
aw thank you ✨💕 i relate with this so much and so glad you've grown to just being you despite the "norm"! being a feminine girl in tech can be empowering in itself 🫶
@@imjenncho HI
This Q&A was great. You have a really pleasant personality which is refreshing these days. Favorite engineer to watch on CZcams for sure.
Hi Jenn, congrats on 25k! I came across your channel somehow, and love your content. I'm an SDET and also an INFJ, so funny! I hope you can explore your artistic passion more in the future! :)
I love the vibe. It's so chill.
I really loved this video, I think it was like a more casual and relaxed version of you, I hope you continue to develop in this medium, you have a lot of potential! ✨💕
aw thank you~ this is so kind ✨💕 I also felt most comfortable in front of camera while filming this not sure why. but I also hope to continue to show this casual & relaxed version.
Congrats with 25k! It was nice to get known you better 🙂
This is really nice, let's us get to know you better! :) Congrats on 25k 🙌 100k coming soon !!
Thanks Brian, appreciate it 😇 and same to you!
I got to know your channel one week before starting as a Junior DevOps Engineer at a big insurance company here in Brazil.
I have already been working in the area for around 1.5 year but only remotly, I was kinda nervous going into such a big company and working in a Hybrid setting but you're videos got me excited about it, 3 weeks in and everything in going super fun, loving my new job. Thanks for these videos.
I loved hearing you talk about Howl - it's so apparent that he is the light of your life! I hope you have a great experience with bringing a kitten into your lives, whenever the time is right.
I can listen to you all day. Aside from being pretty and having a beautiful voice, I like the way you express yourself and make an explanation concisely.I'm sure you are smart.
This was a great video to watch
"Jen, I find your ability to manage your time so perfectly truly inspiring. Your videos have motivated me to pursue a career as a software engineer, and I'm incredibly grateful for that."
ty~ best of luck on your journey!
thanks for sharing!! I’m moving to seattle soon and am excited to hear more about the culture. I’m also an INFJ, so I feel you on loving your downtime for yourself 😅
INFJ tribe! 😊
OMG I got goosebumps when you said your birthday and height. It's exactly same as me. What a coincidence. Glad to know your channel!
Your voice is so calming
it's never too late to become an artist! :)
I hope you get a chance to pursue your artist dreams one day. The creative side really shows in the way you create your content.
love this!! hello from the philippines! 🇵🇭
Nice to get to know you better
This is really great, let's get to know you better! :) Wishing you many good things and your CZcams channel will develop further, soon reaching 100k registrations.
Fun fact: I have the same birthday as you
no way we have the same birthday!!! :D Gemini ftw!!
Hey Jen I am just your new viewer Idk when I sub to you but I am still new just wanted to say Kudos to your 25k subs..
She is so real
13:33 This question is so important and I love your answer. I, as a male developer, love to make and see diagrams colored in pastel tones. In fact, I hate diagrams that are not colored this way or that are too plain in B&W. It doesn't only make it prettier, but it also gives it personality and shifts your brain into enjoying and understanding the things you're seeing. It doesn't seem like a huge deal, but when you're working with teams and your idea is a little convoluted or the team is tired, a good coloring system helps a lot. I 100% agree that women should never feel the need to make things "less girly." In fact, I believe that we need more women in our space because they bring perspectives that men would never even consider. And if all that comes in a colored diagram with hearts and unicorns, that's fine. And, please, don't forget to add cutie marks and Pinkie Pie stickers, since I love My Little Pony.
We have the same birthday :") i want to break into tech. I am in the tech industry but i am not in a super tech role (test engineer and mainly manual testing). You inspire me ❤
Best regards..! Continue your productive work life..❤️
I genuinely feel so similar for the last question, we’ve got the same mbti INFJ. Its a struggle for me rn in uni since im in STEM for science but i feel like i need to express that creative outlook of mine. So now i’m in a difficult position of wanting to continue this uni course (i have a year and a half left) since i fell out of passion for this course. Its also a struggle to find other creative courses in my uni if i wanna continue for my post grad since its also limited. So i’m stuck 😢
woooooo infj gang!
Instead of a box to check I would suggest you dive in and try to discover their worst side and if you can tolerate and they can tolerate yours its on. I can check all of ur boxes and my worst side can throw u off. my worst side is leaving socks around I am working on it tho.
Adopting a kitten can be a lot of work and money but its worth it! Mine is two now and shes still so needy and energetic haha
Greetings from Hungary! Where do you studied in university in Budapest? 😮 I was so surprised you mentioned my country! ❤
I'm also introverted and have a super busy schedule but I need sleep. I sleep like 9 hours on weekdays and 11 on weekends. I'm unproductive/dead when I don't get enough sleep
which headphones do you use?? 😊
Super 🎉
Before becoming your own boss, save, invest and reinvest in dividend stocks. Don't quit your job yet. With the dividend payout, you can start your own business as a gig then as a full job later on. You can be rich as an Engineer but never wealthy if you don't invest or be an entrepreneur. Trust me. Funny, I always want be an artist too but my parents always remind about money. Well, I will create my art when I will retire. Come down to San Diego and I will glad to show you around.
Wow, my birthday is on 27th May as well 😊
Thanks for sharing and being so open. This might've been unintentional, but it kinda sounds like you are are subconsciously putting yourself in a "technology echo-chamber" outside of work. Seattle - and many other cities with a big tech presence - have thriving, diverse communities as I'm sure you know (beacon hill, rainer valley, int district, etc.) spanning many non-tech industries (healthcare, arts [you mentioned wanting more creative outlet!), maritime, etc.) Just wanted to call this out in case you do move around to another city (e.g., NYC) and may find yourself in a similar situation. Like you mentioned befriending coworkers (which is great you can do that!) but if you're concerned about being surrounded by all this tech mumbo jumbo - which is definitely exhausting outside of work - perhaps consider some completely new experiences. You mentioned yoga, I'm sure there are some community yoga classes - or even a part-time teaching opportunity if you are getting confident in your skills! Anyway, just some food for thought. That aside, I think your ambition to become a leader for women in tech is equally impressive as it is important. Good luck and keep up the grind 💪
Funny thing that I didn't expect is that we share the same height and birthday. The most shocking thing to me. I am a couple of years younger though hehe
Hi Jen !! great video, but work out is not a hobby, I play tennis its a true hobby Lol Jokes aside, its very interesting that you say youre an introvert, Im a little bit, and as Im still in university , Its minimally challenging
a diverse set of leaders with MERIT. More direct communication would be cool
Come to LA
U would love New York (I’m in ny)
I’m a Gemini too but I’m 27
infj and anneagram buddies!
Bay Area is a nice place. Try Switzerland though, for example Zurich. Berlin is a nice place too, but too relaxed, you even do not need to speak German. Share some art work though.
I’ve been told work culture is too relaxed at some regions in europe 😂 I guess it’s true~
Hello fans from taiwan
Five one and three quarters *confused in European*
Gemini and cancer 👌
I subscribe yur channel
you're just 20?
👍
Yes ladsss she is single!
great, now's your chance
Do you fit all her boxes?=)))
Bet her standards are sky high. (As they should be). Guys keep leveling up
@@FlywithMikey96 Change your name to "WhiteKnightMikey." She's not uncommon in Seattle -- I dare say she's quite common. Both men and women need to put forth effort. You can't look at certain way and hold a nice job and automatically, "you're worth it so just wait until someone worthy fawns over you." There's plenty of people who make for terrible partners despite looking good on paper. Women know this of men. Men should know this of women.
@@EbonySeraphim far from white knight. And she’s pretty hot. Definitely 2-3.5 point above average. These types of women need a man that can take care of them financially, emotionally, and physically. What’s wrong with leveling your game up to get her to be your lady
I love this content video can I get Shout out From Philippines 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Jesus Loves You♥
I can see INFJ. Another great video! Sadly, Howl was not having any of it lol. SF...it's gross here stay away lmao
I hear so similar comments about SF these days 😱
@@imjenncho funny enough today at the BART station I get off for work there was a bunch of ads for Seattle lol 😂
@@jovannysanchez😂😂 sf is giving you subtle signs
I'm surprised she said tech is highly male dominated. I thought it was like 50/50, or even slightly a female majority. Also...a really pretty, smart, creative, and successful woman is single, but not looking...😭
nahhh, u aint 26yo 😭😭
Asian parents always quash the artistic career in favor of being a doctor, lawyer or engineer, lol.
lol my answer was probably not shocking 🤭
b sl o klang nas jub jub
Marry me :(
“Checks all the boxes” let me guess…
- over 6’ tall
- rich
- makes 6 figures
- owns a home
- fit
- handsome
😂 instant red flag for me when I hear a girl says she has a check list
Maybe her list is - not crazy, - not violent, - no history of serious mental illness, - not a felon 😂
So many beta desperate men in the comment section, i have second hand embarrassment from that
Adopt some boyfriend not cat 🤘
Wow, I didn't expect that you've already been to my country, Philippines!! Btw, I'm also an INFJ, a woman in tech, and one of those "alone but not lonely" 🫶
