I’m back with another protective style! This time I opted for mini braids. Now don’t get me wrong, I love my mini twists but I just wanted to try something different without adding hair.

Finally!!!!!I find someone with my type of Hair
Somehow extensions damage my hair I’ll rather do natural braids.Since I stopped extensions my hair has grown much more,the hair loss was massive not anymore.
It does the same to my daughter’s hair. She had some installed 3 times and never again. Yes, those hairstyles using hair extensions look cute, but it’s not worth it
I recently threw away all my synthetic extensions after discovering they are made from toxic materials. You can search CZcams for the dangers of synthetic extensions to learn more. I will only use my own hair from now on.
I switched to yarn and silk strips to avoid the itch from synthetic hair
After all this time I'm just finding you. Nobody ever told me to comb the jam all the way through. Thanks for that helpful tip.
Ooh, I love your accent. What a good looking kid too. Your plaits are so neat and pretty. Girl, you braid fast. 4 hours? It takes me 7 or 8 hours. I guess, I need to hurry up. 🤣

@Prophetess lol don't feel bad. Being slow is exactly why I won't do the mini ones on my hair. My hair is about her length and I just prefer doing them a little bigger. My daughter is always like " you can do them even if you have to stop and take breaks or take two days to do." I just don't have the patience so good luck to you!
@@jenniferwalker5546 Girl, I also make my braids bigger too. Lol. I take way too darn long and my hair is probably around bsl to mid back. That's why I am always in wigs. 😂🤣

I love, love this style. I use to wear my hair this exact way. I just big chopped again and I'm not crazy about it. I want to grow it out so that I can wear this style again. Thanks for showing😊

After cornrows, I have Mini braids. My problem I keep taking them out everyday. I put in a leave in conditioner. It seems to be habit. What can I do to keep my hands off my hair or is it okay.
I'm sorry I don't know. You may just have to find a way to distract yourself from doing it daily.

Do the braids shrink when they get wet. Do they last longer than twists.
Mine shrunk when I washed them. For me, they definitely last longer than twists. I keep my hair wrapped and try to keep my hands out of it.
I am growing out of doing hairstyles using hair extensions. We do have hair too and can grow it like every other race. On top of that, it’s a billion dollars business, it’s not worth it. I am getting used to seeing myself with braids and twists, no extensions added. Bear in mind, I am on my third big chop and growing back my hair after a pixie-cut
Is it best to do mini braids on blow dried hair?
For me it's best because I like to work on stretched hair. Plus I like to see my length before putting it in a protective style.
How long do you plan to leave them in
I left them in for about two and half weeks. I wanted to keep them in longer but I wanted to try another style.
