  • well, right when I thought we were smooth sailing on the maintenance on this thing, the Bobcat 743 skid steer decided to blow a hydraulic hose under the cab, and then immediately after, broke the pivot support bushing on the bucket tilt... We get to work getting this thing back to together as quickly as possible!

Keep the tank always full. Its walls are unpainted steel and empty tank has moist in the air that will condensate on walls and rust that untreated metal. Then you start getting rust in filters and fuel lines.

Great videos. I also have an old 743 that I have been restoring. Do you have a video of the lower tilt bushing removal and installation yet? I am at the same point with mine, I need to replace the bushing, pin and the weld on bushings you did in this video. I am not sure how best to do it. Thanks.

Thanks! That’s awesome, so yea I have another video on my channel if you scroll back a bit about restoring and painting this 743, I changed the lower bucket pins, but it’s not really a how to, they were a pain to do because they kept spinning on me, and hard to get lined up to drive the bolt in, but maybe you’ll learn something from that video just watching me change them

Into The Dirtshop I’ll see what happens because when I look on videos of other peoples bobcats I can hear almost the same sound and also one last question do you run your machine at full throttle because I heard people say that I should run it at half throttle and when I do run it on full it sounds way to loud?

I did my tilt cylinder rebuild a month ago. The instructions mention 3 different types of tilt cylinders on the 743, check there to find which one you have before ordering the correct seal kit, or you might order the wrong one. I got the correct one, on my second try!
