I heard this once on 2 harpsichords at the Dolmech factory - it was superb
Magnificent! Love "Presto" most of all!
Wunderschön 👍
Marvelous. Such buoyancy, such life. And a gorgeous instrument. I can hear everything. Many thanks for this post.
FANTASTIC !
I notice no-one has given any credit to poor hungry little Roland, discreetly munching away on the nuts!!..he has provided a wee bit of interest in the painting!
I have an old vinyl LP recording of this piece, and the first movement is played at a slightly slower tempo, but with much more attack and gain at the player's hands, and a much brighter sounding instrument.
The two alternating bass notes on the counterpoise of the last movement,on my recording, are played with more sustain than on this recording, and I think it is more preferable to my ears.
However, any recording of this glorious piece is always going to be amazing, and a delight to listen to,by any player, but I am just expressing my personal opimion, not criticising this recording in any way or form..it's breathtaking just the same!
Wonderful!
If he plays much faster he'll set the harpsichord on fire.
Splendid! The first movement perhaps a little too fast, but splendid anyway!
Si c’est un concerto dans le goût italien, alors vous me le jouez au clavecin, s’il-vous-plait !
Persons, who did that painting ??
It was Tommaso Salini.

Who's playing?
me
a Bit too fast
the harpsichord is played like that
Art tatum also played like lightning, and I don't think Johann Sebastian is any less virtuostic than Art. :)
