Billy Martin was our neighbor in California and we were parishioners at the same Catholic Church. He's a native of Berkeley. I'm surprised he didn't want to be buried in the SF Bay Area. Guess he wanted the NYC nightlife/afterlife.
My Irish great-grandparents, grandparents, and hundreds of family members are buried in Brooklyn and Queens. I would like to make the trip to visit their resting places one day.
The parking lot cemetery is one of the most disturbing things I've seen in a while. And I live in Tennessee!
Comic actor Dom De Luise is buried in a family plot at Calvary, at the end of a long row of graves. The plot is virtually under the Brooklyn Queens Expressway.

Even though it was a long time ago, I can't help but think of the suffering that Martha endured as she was dying from smallpox. Rest in peace, Martha. You did an excellent job on this video, especially about the African American Cemetery that is now a parking lot. Did you know that the New Haven Green in CT is really a cemetery? It's true. Don't feel bad, Heather. I had to do research to determine where my paternal great grandparents were buried in Canada. If your parents do not share this information with you, how would you know?
@@lorraine9242 Didn't feel badly at all was thrilled to find my great-grandparents, and just by chance. I do know where my grandparents are, I bought my dad's parents' headstone, he had died by then.
