I'm 37 and I absolutely love and adore middle-grade! There is nothing like reading an amazing middle-grade book! Great video! 😍
Also I was born and raised in Miami, and my (at the time) step family is Cuban, so is my hubby so I'm definitely buying Sal and Gabi, I think I will relate to it!
100% agree🙌🏼💓 I have so many series and books to catch up on and I’m so excited. I hadn’t realized I’d been sleeping on so many great ones!
Same here! I am 40!
Same! 36 here🙋♀️
Middle grade novels are literally the best, they always remind me of summers at my local library
Of all the middle grade I've read my favorite are PJO and Keeper of the lost cities...yet

It might sound silly of me but I'm really proud of Rick Riordan for using his success to empower diverse authors and stories
rick’s my favourite author
thank you! actually, the author of "Nevermoor" came to my school 2 years ago and she's so amazing! love that book!
So lucky!
My Favorites are : Percy Jackson and Keeper of The Lost Cities!!

PLEASE CONTINUE BTHE SERIES ALSO THIS IS JUST MY OPINION BUT THE NEXT SERIES (ALSO BY RICK RIORDAN) HEROES OF OLYMPUS IS AMAAAAAZING I TELL YOU! ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE BORED OF READING ONLY ABOUT PERCY, HEROES OF OLYMPUS IS LITERALLY THE BEST SERIES FOR YOU AND IT GETS INCREASINGLY BETTER! (Excuse caps! Hehe)
I'm rereading PJO series and it's just as amazing as when I read it eight years ago. MIddle grade books are so underrated and more adults should read it
I've read the first School for Good and Evil book. It's amazing!
Awesome! I can’t wait to start it omg💓
Read all 3 and loved all of them
I looooove the first book but the sequel and the third booook... they flopped
I'm reading it right now! hehe
The book was cool, but it kinda killed me with confusion over all the chaos🥲
I’m 34 and didn’t read a lot of books in middle school, so I’m catching up
People in my school make fun of me for reading middle grade (even tho I'm in gr 7). I love it regardless
Zainab Khan that would happen to me. I’d ask what books they read than and they’d always say “oh, i don’t read”
you just keep doing you sis
Gr 7 is considered middle grade tho...I’m 12 too
I thought Middle grade books were made for middle schoolers. You do you.
Zainab Khan
Middle grade books are great!
They convey a message in a simple way
Also, I'm 24, and I STILL love middle grade books. Don't let people tell you what to read.
OMG Nevermoor is soooooo good. I read it a couple years ago and this video reminded me that I need to reread it. Thank You. Also will check out some of the other books in this video.
Okay but the aesthetic for this video is so satisfying!
Aww thank you! 💓
a good middle-grade series is Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins. It follows a young boy who meets these underground mole people. He has to go one this adventure to help them, led by a prophecy, and defeat their enemies. It’s a 5 part series that you should check out if you’re into books like percy jackson
Favorite Middle-Grade:
Wonder
The One and Only Ivan
Serafina and the Black Cloak
The Goose Girl
A Snicker of Magic
Okay for Now
The Mighty Heart of Sunny St. James
The Door by the Staircase
The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell
School For Good and Evil
Just to name a few
furthermore is amazing omg i hope you read it soon and love it!
Omg thanks! I was looking for some books for me to read and added all except 2 from this to my list! It helped a lot 😅
These are definitely some recommendations that I’ll for sure look into ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I really hope that you try reading Keeper of the Lost Cities cause it’s my favourite book series and I think you would enjoy it!
I Love Percy Jackson. In fact it was the series that really got me into reading and switching my content everywhere to books
And heroes of olympus
As soon as I saw Nevermoor, I knew I had to subscribe to this channel! My favourite middle grade series is Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger
I love National Treasure too! One of my old favorites! If you loved York and the National Treasure vibes it gave, I highly recommend the 39 clues series. I read those right at the end of 5th grade. I was above my reading level so it was a middle grade book and they are so fun! I still think about them today, and I am a junior in high school. I actually work in a bookstore and recommend them to teachers all the time! I hope you try the 39 Clues and love them like I do! And I’m definitely gonna try York! Seems so fun and cute😊😊😊
You should definitely try keeper of the lost cities. It’s amazing
I’m in middle school, and even though I read mostly YA this video was really awesome!! Keep up the good work😊😁
Awesome! I’m glad you liked it ☺️💓
sorry i’m dumb what does YA mean
@@pixievoid it means young adult books
Same cause i like the drama in YA
In 6th grade I read the whole school for good and evil series and honestly it’s one of my favorite series i would highly recommend reading
I love the School for Good and Evil 😍😍 I've only read the first 3 books (a long time ago) but it's just amazing!
Aru Shah and the end of time is so amazing
I didn't realise Dragon Pearl was Middle Grade!
Great vid, thank youuuuuu 🤗❤
i'm glad people actually really like middle grade and im glad that they are still around even though some people are adults! i'm in middle schools right now and im looking for some books that would be appropriate but also some good reads because some of the middle grade reads ive finished weren't really my favorites! so thanks for making this video!
I read hardly any middle grade books, but I absolutely love the Keeper of the Lost Cities series by Shannon Messenger. It's got me interested in reading more middle grade books, so thanks for the recommendations!
Some sponsored videos I get annoyed with, but yours are always so entertaining and honestly make me want to go pick up the book! Great video!
Awww this is so sweet! I try my best to make my sponsored videos as true to me as I can. I know paid promotions can sometimes be annoying, but it’s what helps me make a living and I always try to say yes to ones I’m genuinely excited about. So thank you, for saying this ☺️❤️
im eleven years old and i cant wait to read some of these!!
She looks like Miley Cyrus
One of my favourites is The School for Good and Evil, I strongly recommend it ♥️
I read Nevermoor, well listened on Audible, because of you. I loved it! Awaiting the third book in August ❤️❤️😝
You should read any book by Gareth P. Jones. I've read the society of thirteen, the thornthwaite inheritance, the thornthwaite betrayal and the considine curse. They are all middle grade books (as far as i remember anyway) with creepy themes and dark twists at the end of them.
I really think you'd like Keeper of the Lost Cities. It's simply amazing!!!
Ashley you should totally read the children of the lamp series. I loved it. Although I have just read the first book because the others books are not easily available in my country.
Yes! The School for Good and Evil is amazing!
Currently listening to Nevermoor and its so good 👌🏻✨
I’m definitely not in the middle grade target but I still love them anyway and probably always will. Thanks to you I read nevermoor and I deeply fell in love with it, so i immediately added sal and gabi break the universe to my tbr 💚
Hahaha I definitely agree! They’re so fun sometimes it’s hard not to love them ☺️ I’m so glad you loved Nevermoor! And I’m super excited to read Sal and Gabi too😍✨
I friggin LOVE middle grade books. There's something so whimsical and charming and darling about them. I'm really looking forward to reading Prosper Redding, especially since it's just a duology (?) ✨
Thanks for all the lovely books! My friends keep asking me for books that are good for children but I hardly know any. This video helped a lot! ❤
Omg i love middle grade too im currently reading magiterium by Cassandra clare and holly black(im surprised you dint mention it actually )...im currently on the third book...sooo good😍
The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding was so great. I listened to the audio book and it was AMAZING. I want to read the second one, but I can't get a hold of it yet. I love the the Ranger's Apprentice series by John Flanagan. 💖💖💖
Yes, it was so good!! Definitely agree! And ooo thanks for the rec! I’ll add it to my list to check out ☺️💓
Middle grade books are my favorite!
I really recormend the book series WildWood. Its a Fantasy style series and is based on 2 characters named Prue and Curtis who find that they have to power of the wood. This means that they can go into wildwood with out getting lost in a never ending loophole of the wood. Deffinetly recormend it!
I am 21 and just finish the nevermoor series and it is the most fun I had while reading in years!
I hope you do more middle grade reviews! not only do I enjoy them, but I have a bunch of grandkids I buy books for.
Love your personality and you're channel I am definitely a fan
Thank you!
YOU NEEEEED TO READ the school for good and evil it's amazing
Omg I’ve gotten so many of these comments! Definitely moving it up the list!🙌🏼
I love Harry Potter movies so I decided to read the books also and I have just fallen in love with books after that that's why my all history is full of books I am gonna order all of these also dork diaries and wimpy kids, you were so sweet in the video btw, love ya
So I'm an Instructional assistant for a sixth grade class, and I find this list very informative! Not only because I love reading but because I'm always looking for books my kids will like. Will have to look into many of these!
thank i found alot of books that i wanna read now
i just read furthermore and loved it!! the world was so much fun and the characters were so lovable
I read like 2 books from this video lol, OMG AND CITY OF GHOSTS IS SO GOODDDDDDDDD
Keeper of the Lost Cities is the most AMAZING middle grade series that I have ever read.
NEVERMOOR ❤️
The school for good and evil series are sooo good. You need to read it soon
I’m definitely planning on it!! It’s high high on my list ☺️
@@adashofash you guys should read gallagher girls too!! i really cannot stress enough how ABSOLUTELY SMASHING it is!!!!
Oh my gosh SCHOOL FOR GOOD AND EVIL IS SO SO GOOD. It’s one of my absolute favorite series and I highly recommend- also the Ascendance Trilogy is my favorite series of all time along with Percy Jackson, and it’s middle grade as well (it’s described as a middle grade game of thrones). The Unwanteds is amazing as well there’s so many middle grade book series I want more people to read haha!!
Ooooo YAY! I’m so excited to start it soon omg 🙌🏼 I need to take some notes lol I’ve got a lot of middle grade to get caught up on! Thanks for the recommendations! 💓
you should definitely read gallagher girls by ally carter. its about a secret spy school for girls and the series start from their sophomore year where they start learning about covert operations. its so fun and just crazy good. i just want everybody to experience that kind of fun because it was truly something else. also they're not all childish. it gets like super dark from book 3 but still it has humour and fun to it and it just gets right to the feel ahaha y'all should definitely pick it up!!
I just started nevermoor and im in love with the book, so I highly recommend this book!
If you want to read some other awesome middle grade books about amazing kids solving puzzles, then your must read The Mysterious Benedict Society trilogy. It's so fun & smart! I love it & I think you will too.
York looks interesting, sounds like 39 clues, will read after I finish that.
I loved Nevermoor and Wundersmith so much! ❤️
Same.I am dying to know when the third book will come out!
U have the best book recommend action is sooo amazing
I'm 28 and I love middle grade books and basically I'm always trying to read almost all middle grade books cuz I just love the light, fluffy story. There is nothing like it.
PS: my love for middle grade started and ignited with PJO. 🙂
Wow thanks this really help 👍🏼
Have you read the shadow children series? It is literally the best thing ever; it doesn't feel like a book intended for an eight year old and carries a really interesting storyline. Lots of books too. And I haven't read it, but the author of the school for good and evil actually visited my elementary school on a book tour or something. It was awhile ago so I'm not completely sure lol
What about The Queen’s Thief series??!
(If you like those, also try The False Prince!)
If you haven’t already you need to read a middle grade book called the unwanteds it is so good.
Idk if anyone has read these but the spiderwick cronicels are great as long as your ok with a bit of wierd stuff but there amazing it follows these twins and there older sister but they move into this old house that was owned by there great great grandfather (its some kinda gradfather im pretty sure) and they find out about all these myical crechers (also i know there are a lot of spelling mistakes im a reader not a speller)
I just bought Nevermoor and I hope it’s good!
Not a huge middle grade fan (because mainly I like books with adult protagonists and/or are aimed towards them since I started reading at an early age), but I’ll guess I’ll give it a try.
I’m 40 and really enjoy middle grade. I usually read the books I want to get the children I nanny. Rick Riordan’s books are really well researched and funny. If they had come out when I was a mythology-obsessed 8 year-old, I would have loved them! The only series I didn’t finish was the Egyptian mythology one. Wonder was fantastic, and I enjoyed the companion books from other characters’ points of view.
Ok now i gotta read ALL of this books
You are very helpful tysm :)
What are the books in the top right corner those 6 colourful ones I've seen them in others backround but I can't figure out what they are could anyone tell me what they are
I’ve read about half of these. I love them all, thank u for sharing. I was gonna put what age I am but it’s 1:00 and I don’t remember but I am in fourth grade (but read some in third) so can confirm these can be for lower grades too!
My favorite book recently( I finished the PJO series) by Rick ridon is Kane chronicles
I love middle-grade books! I really recommend Land of Stories by Chris Colfer. It's just an amazing series, so if any of yall in the comments could check it out I would really recommend it
And please try The Land Of Stories series as well as A Tale Of Magic series..Its so GOOOODDD..
This is an old video but thank you because I’m french speaking and I’m searching some books that I can read in English!
Furthermore (and sequel) some of the BEST and most UNIQUE books I have ever read
Another good middle grade book series is fablehaven by Brandon mull it is a brother and sister who go to their grandparents house and find out it is a sanctuary for magical creatures
Sal and Gaby is amazing! It’s not like any rick riordan story I’ve ever seen, and it’s more focused on the kids than their powers and magic. It was unlike anything I’ve ever read and I can’t wait for the sequel!
I really recommend false prince by Jennifer A Nielsen (not sure if I spelled her name right) It's a thriller and it's about 4 orphan boys taken into a mansion to train to be a clone of a real prince to stop war. There's so many plot twists- really good book :)
I really recommend The Copernicus Legacy it's a great middle grade series!
I only read PJO, Heroes of Olympus, spy school, fun jungle and a bunch of others
Keeper of the Lost Cities!!!!!!! Favorite series that is middle grade. However, it has the plot and characters and intensity of a YA, highly recommended it!
The City of York trilogy (of what I’ve read so far) is really good. I like the mystery and adventure in it.
You HAVE to read The School for Good and Evil, I've gone through grade 2 to 7 reading this book. I've grown up with it and it's the biggest reason I'm a humongous fantasy/retelling book nerd that won't put down a book and ends up ranting about them to my friends (who I constantly suggest books to).
I love middle grade books!! Nevermoor is amazing!! I have reread it 3 times. The second book is better then the first. I didn’t care for the book school for good and evil. I’m not sure if it is because I didn’t care for the audiobook voices. So I probably won’t be listening to them and maybe check out the actual book.
I recommend House of Secrets.... if you have nothing else to read or listen to (theirs a audiobook of it
Break the universe is the best...I recommend you to read that!!🤩🤩
sal and gabby reminds me of a book called save me a seat. you should read it :)
Have you read “Pie In The Sky” by Remy Lai it my fav book but sadly I don’t have I only read it on my school library ☹️
I really like the series called Gallagher girl academy you should read it if you havent already. Just a suggestion tho
I bought a middle aged book by accident on Waterstones Robin Stevens Arsenic for Tea I am 59 but I will still read it and pass it on to my grandkids
