Lambchop are having concert in my town these days so I was searching youtube for some of their songs and found this cover. I love Sisters and the original song but I think this is brilliant. Love it.
Oh my! What a great cover. The Black Kites offered a great tribute with Lucretia, My Reflection as well. In both instances the bands are offering something new and fresh to the sound, not simply mimicking it.
Hmm almost a blue grass version. Certainly a different take on it a lot of the life seems to of been taken out of the orginal though..Not sure about that singing style either but it's always good to hear bands put totally different take on songs.
Its good... Best of it, is this isn't a copy of a better product. It can stand on its ound. You don't even have to be fan of the original to like this... One remark: Eldritch its lyrics don't really match the sound... Like a businessman deciding to wear skullsocks with his suit. ;)
This is what covers are SUPPOSED to be - none of this its-the-exact-as-the-original-just-with-different-musicians rubbish. Why bother covering a song if you're not going to do anything with it and make it your own?
This is a cover by musicians that are either too lazy or too untalented (or both) to give it the bombast and technicality it deserves. This is not an "easy-listening" song for your grandparents to play at their next bridge game--despite these hacks who would like you to think otherwise.
A cover version should create a new song. This is one of the best covers EVER.
Absolutely brilliant version. Beautifully sung. They are in a class of their own.............
Wow... just Wow. I love this. HUGE Sisters fan and I do believe this is one of the best covers I have ever heard.
Loved this cover, mainly because it sounds so different to the original. Been to see the sisters more than once and love the original too.
Yeah !

Love this version. Thanks for uploading :-)
Exquisite interpretation.
I Luuurve the Sisters and this is such a bostin cover version. Brilliant! Now please cover 'Valentine'!
" offering something new and fresh to the sound, not simply mimicking it."-- you put it well. that's what makes a good cover.
This isn't bad, but, sounds a lot like Shriekback mimicking the Sisters.
Sisters of Mercy themselves were absolute masters at that. It is fitting to see the same treatment given to their original songs.
What a Masterpiece! A M A Z I N G ! ! !
Thank you Game of Thrones : The Last Watch
Same here😊 love this cover so much! 💜
I love the original and I also love this!
great tune and cover of the sisters
Materpiece...one of the best covers what ever I hear!
great cover of a great band ;)
WOW!
Best Cover!!!!!
Interesting how this was so derided twenty years ago and now it’s getting praise. I guess Sisters fans will Always Sisters Fan, hm?
absolutely the best som cover on utube
Quite uniquely superb.
Transformation, pure and simple.
wow
I'm amazed
Being a SOM fan, I must recognize that this cover is a piece of art. Try the In Extremo one if you prefer Metal...
Oh my! What a great cover. The Black Kites offered a great tribute with Lucretia, My Reflection as well. In both instances the bands are offering something new and fresh to the sound, not simply mimicking it.
@micaxmaca
Thanks for the hint because I took a look at their homepage and found a gig in my town as well. Hope it isn't sold out by now.
that's how people should do covers

Fuck. Fanfuckingtastic.
Great cover, IF you like lamb chops all soft and tender.
best cover i heard. better than the original imho
Who is here from the GOT Danny’s last scene...
He sounds just like Blixa Bargeld. The whole song sounds like the Einstürzenden Neubauten made it.
Neat
Great cover, always thought it was an OTT sisters song. Its hard sometimes being a sisters fan. I loved them but...
they've just started a u.s. tour.
Okay I like this. My friend told me about it and I though it was the sock puppet. Very happy its not
@yebhx I totally agree with you :P
is this on an album?
What genre would this cover be? It sound sort of like Jazzy Folk.
hey kurt...how do you like these apples?
Nice cover; certainly not an obvious choice but perhaps that's the point.
Not sure if want.
Hmm almost a blue grass version. Certainly a different take on it a lot of the life seems to of been taken out of the orginal though..Not sure about that singing style either but it's always good to hear bands put totally different take on songs.
Very fine, yes. Work hard in studio.

Congratulations and tnks for this version.
Disturbing good. Rivals PROZAC FOR LOVERS version of "[Don't Fear] the Reaper" (go listen).
Its good...
Best of it, is this isn't a copy of a better product.
It can stand on its ound.
You don't even have to be fan of the original to like this...
One remark:
Eldritch its lyrics don't really match the sound...
Like a businessman deciding to wear skullsocks with his suit. ;)
i love the remake..the dude is great..but the song loses for female vocals...backgrounds not enough to me
@R391s No, Don't try that, that cover might be the worst cover I have ever heard. The video is hilarious however.
Cool, cool now write your own shit! #19
20 years of original material and you complain about a cover?
You obviously know fuck al about Lambchop

Lots of rules in your music world.
