That Bassist IS NOT of THIS world he nailed thhat solo...exuding such sheer passion and inspiration OUT of his heart thru HIS finger and each one complimenting the others musicianship fusing it with the orchestra revealing divinely melodic mysteries!

Whats more, he is a great guy. Ran into him in the park in ATL before his performance with Robert at the annual jazz festival in Piedmont park. He appeared surprised that he was even recognized. What a talent who is vastly under appreciated!

Thank you for this... This full set was on youtube about 5-6 years ago that no longer exists anywhere on the internet. This clip is on a dvd too but the full set wasnt released for some reason. I would give anything to go back in time and record it off youtube before the media company had it removed and locked away. Portrait of an angel with Metropole Orkest brought tears to my eyes it was beautiful

@@slartibartfast5031 oh moi c est la musique toujours la musique!! quand je pense qu ils sont venus à Marseille (j habite juste à côté) au festival des 5 continents et que j ai raté .;je les connaissais pas à l époque mais il existe une vidéo faite à cette occasion que je me régale de regarder souvent.. je connais ce festival où je suis allée plusieurs fois j ai vu notamment JL Ponty que j adore "return to forever..entre autres!!" je l adore Robert Glasper je souhaite pouvoir l écouter un jour en "live"..suis allée aussi à Juan, Salon...écouter du jazz mais je suis à l écoute de toutes sortes de musique ..du moment que ça me plait et je pense avoir bon goùt...je suis des années 70..merci pour votre réponse c est très sympa..Monique.
