    Thx for wiring notes! PS, I was able to get a small ratchet with a Phillips bit in behind the bumper easier than the stub screwdriver. A person with small arms can get to it from underneath the SUV. 😊

    Question?? How do I know what color of wire goes connected to which wire in the stop lights, you just show the green connectors on the stop lights but didn’t show what color wire is connected at the end??? Please advise thank you good video though

  • @geneklosinski348
    @geneklosinski348 Před 4 lety +1

    You mean Signal Yellow to Green and Black -and RED wire to Solid green; abd White to bottom bulb green and white~ at least that is what you stated and showed in your video.
    so... per factory installation says: - "Connect the black wire to negative, red wire to brake light positive , and white wire to tail light positive, yellow wire to the signal light" So you have the RED going to the bottom bulb green and white tail light positive ~instead of to the GREEN brake light positive and you have the White going to the light green instead of the tail light positive which is solid green. It was a well made video and I appreciate and understand it because you explained so well and did a great job. But, some folks may get confused at your light sequence setup writing. Now I am really confused, Sorry If you're right, then I apologize.

    • @geneklosinski348
      @geneklosinski348 Před 4 lety

      Correction: Tail light positive is bottom bulb green and white.

    Here is my latest update: These lights disabled my car's collision detection and cruise control system w/errors on the dashboard. Those systems are linked directly and indirectly to the brake lights. These lights interfere with the brake system when they malfunction such as water penetration into the light's housing. Toyota won't touch my car until those lights are removed.

    • @bigbanka5572
      @bigbanka5572  Před 3 lety

      I still service my Rav4 till this day

    • @Chitown388
      @Chitown388 Před 3 lety

      @@bigbanka5572 Actually the water condensation in the light is causing a short in the electrical system; which in turn causes the collision detection system to shut down. The collision detection system will apply the brakes if a collision is imminent. And if it thinks the brake light is not functioning properly, it won't automatically apply the brakes. Besides the shut down of the collision detection system, the LED lights were functioning as advertised despite the water condensation. The dashboard errors went away after those LED lights are disconnected.

      @@bigbanka5572 If I do this again I would
      1) look for a product that specifically says it's waterproof. The manufacturer of my lights, AMOPA, actually says their lights need heat ventilation so their lights are not waterproof
      2) dunk the light in water for a couple of hours to make sure it's waterproof before installing it; it's a big hassle to uninstall.

  • @Chitown388
    @Chitown388 Před 3 lety

    Don't buy these LED lights with the AMOPA brand name. Those LEDs have water condensation inside the light. AMOPA told me that their LEDs need heat ventilation. This implies that these AMOPA lights are NOT waterproof. Their recommendation is to remove the light to "air it out" ... as if removing the rear bumper to do this is a 2-minute ordeal.
