I was 19 at the time. listened to this song 2 days ago for the first time since. being scared as fuck doing so. now i have to admit. this track really gave me a reality check and made me better myself since. now i cannot stop listening to it. My favorite metal track ever. that, yes, almost killed me. Love it!!!!

It's not like any of these invented a new genre per sé, but they did bring a fresh, new sound to the scene, which cannot be said for this band, it's just something that has been done over and over and over.
You can tell it's core when they have to put lyrics on screen because you can't understand them... Metal it like an apple. It's all good apart from the core.

@ianisamonkey1 Tbh, I haven't really listened to those bands, so I can't have an opinion, but some death metal that I've heard is good, take scar symmetry for example (true, they are melodic death metal) but I haven't found a single metalcore song that I would voluntarily listen to. You have a point though.
