I used to listen to this song as a kid back in 1986. Only black kid in my hood bumpin’ to Def Leppard...Then as an adult, this song was the soundtrack of my freedom when I divorced my wife. I celebrated by playing this song FULL BLAST blast in my car. Ah, Thx for the great years and tunes Def Leapord🤘🏽🔥🔥🇺🇸 🇬🇧
🤟🤟🤟🤟
👍💪👍💪
F@ck yeah! Rock on!!!!!
This comment wins. 🤘🏼
Good for you.
The first album I ever bought. I saved my lunch money for 2 weeks and rode my Mongoose BMX bike up to KMart and bought it on vinyl. Took it home and started playing the drum part on books strewn across my bedroom floor using Lincoln Logs as drum sticks. I've been a drummer now for 40 years.
I absolutely love that story! My first came from Kmart too. Styx Paradise Theater.🤟
Totally awesome!
FUCK YES
That's a classic story
And you still live in the same house and ride the same mongoose bike for 40 years
I wish we had rock like this today😢
Ava Smathers Same here , i’m 15 and my dad tells me all the time that me and my brother missed out as songs like this were coming out almost everyday during the 80s. :(
but.. you're listening to it today.. nevermind
Yeah
Wish our era was like them
When is it gonna happen???? I hear you my friend
This really is the perfect rock and roll song.
none of the shit that's out these days, including the indie scene, could ever come close at all to even matching the energy and passion Def Leppard had on their '80s stuff.
The solo really made it for me. It was great the whole time but the solo just made my stomach drop. It was like I was on a rollercoaster. Just a perfect song all around. Couldn’t come up with one thing wrong about it. There is no mediocre with this song. Pure greatness.
Calm down man!!!
Wasn't that good!!!
People related to it and did lots of stupid thing in the era,the band too.
This is my most favorite song in the history of music
@@rickjeffjeff actually it is that good. This song is a perfect example of how it's done.. It's truly a masters workshop in songwriting and producing. This song is a roadmap of sorts. Of all the songs from that entire scene this is probably the best of them all.
Music will never be this good again ):
+biffospud -that ain't no bullshit statement there....
Think positive
GREATEST BAND EVER !!!!!!
That's not true. Commercially, yes, rock and roll sucks and is pretty much dead but independently there is tons of good rock music out there for the last 20 years.
Your right brother... sadly
This was my favourite song from Pyromania. They look like they're just out of their teens, yet this was their third album. This brings back awesome memories from the summer of '83.
Цілковито з вами згодний. Вони супер!
Yes! was the Best song 1984! My Graduating Year! Cheers!
Partytime!
Their drummer was 15 when he joined the band. Now we have 40 year olds pretending to be teenagers on stage.
This is my favorite song of Def Leppard. I listened to it every day for hours after school in 1983. I watched MTV all the time just waiting for the video to come on. I wore out 3 cassette tapes and 2 Pyromania CDs. I finally bought Vault, and it's not worn out yet.
Still have my vinyl....listened over and over etc...mom yelling turn it down...was a regular ritual in my house...can't believe I didn't wear it out..my mom is in a nursing home now but just before covid we talked about this and she remembers the Photogragh song!!! As well as a few others....this is an amazing memory!!!!...gotta play it loud
It was in the MTV top ten for about a year!!!
I still cant get enough of this awesome song!!!
Gives me chills watching this, because I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when I first saw this in early 1983 - rehearsing with a band in a basement with the TV on in the background. During a break the sound was turned up as this video debuted on MTV. I loved it, but our drummer Mike, who was enthralled with punk and new wave at the time, commented "Song sucks, the band sucks, they won't go anywhere." Mike was wrong.
No mike was a dumb ass
No, Mike was a pretentious dick.
He was too young to be pretentious, and he had a hot girlfriend, but he cheated on her with the girl lead singer. Musicians, what are you gonna do?
+siskokidd never too young to be a pretentious dick.
I take it you all know each other? lol
Amazing to know DL’s drummer still performs and only has one arm. Absolute LEGEND
Funny thing is they used a drum machine for this and he only played high hats. He’s an amazing drummer.
If GTA 5 online brought you here, well good for you. It's never too late to discover an underrated classic!
when did GTA 5 come out.
?

40 years. WOW. Still better than 99.9% of shit they make today and call music.
Fun fact, Rick Allen had both arms in this video but a drum machine was actually used for this song
Always been my favourite Def Leppard track. Love it
Me too best era of music
When music actually took talent
I read this comment all the time, but actually there is alot of talented music out there! unbelievable, really. you just have to search a bit more. don't sleep on it.
@@zezuntxiduntxi yes, his comment should have said "when talented music was the mainstream."
Cardi B.
Exactly before shitty music was a thing like cardi b and Megan thee stallion
Music had talent long before these dudes came along.
i don't think he's ever sang the ending climax live that goes "i wanna touch you awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww yeah photograph". that's like the best part of the song.
Nah the rock n roll clown is the best!
Im 16 but this is one of my favorite songs. I’ve grown up with this type of music from my parents and it’s great stuff🤩🤩
I got GTA last month. And i got in the car and heard this song. My favourite.
Kudos to your parents! Yeah 🤘🏽🖤
I was five when this song was released and I didn´t hear it until I played GTA V videogame in 2013. It´s amazing and I love it!
Juan Francisco Pazos Pérez I'm not even 20 yet and I'm so glad that I've been familiar with Def Leppard since I was 4
Shame on you, Juan!!!! ;)
@MCFan4924 Restarted He was joking. That’s why he put the wink, dude. Before being pissy, know the context or you’ll look like an idiot.
Steve Clark: an absolute genius. We miss you.
Joe's vocals kicks ass
Back then most definitely, unfortunately not anymore..
Heard this when it hit the streets in '83. I was a senior at a one-highschool east Texas town. My four buddies (we were pranksters called The Dreaded Five) and I were having our last summer together. One was getting married (they're still together after 30 plus years), two going to UT in Austin, and the forth to the Air Force to become a pilot. I was the poor one without a way to escape that town. So many memories come flooding back whenever I hear this. And the thing about it is that I was in love with one of the college-bound buddy's sister. She was 16 and a sophomore and I was 17. Me being from the wrong side of the tracks made it a guarantee it would never happen. I should have tried. Eventuall I made it to Austin and slept on the buddies' couch for six months. During that time she came down with a few girlfriends to hang with some others. At the party I got to pick her up in my arms for a group photo. That was the last time I saw her. Looking at that photograph right now and hearing this song brings a few tears. All of the missed opportunities and careless mistakes over the years also come flooring back. Damn this song😥
💘 I can relate sadly.
Three things shocking about this video:
Steve on guitar
Rick with both his arms
And most shocking: Phil with a shirt! AND a jacket!
beautiful rock song....so melodic ...so ingenious....they are musical ,melodic rock geniuses!!!!!
I was in junior high when this came out. I was already gravitating towards hard/heavy rock - and already a fan of Van Halen - but that cassette copy of Pyromania I bought as a 14yo sealed the deal for me becoming a rocker.
I saw them twice, and they were awesome ,the 80s what a decade
Who still listens to this mighty CD in 2021?! DEF LEPPARD FOREVER! THE MIGHTY DEF LEPPARD!!
Pyromania is actually the 2nd CD I ever bought, a few months ago, man do I love the album, it's FLAWLESS!
@@BonaldDrump Yes it is, one of the few heavy metal albums to receive a diamond certification of 10 million minimum album sales. It's absolutely timeless. It combines the heavy rawness of metals with the right amount of polish. So damn good!!
Thank you UK 😎
I grew up reading Japanese manga, listening to rock/metal and taking Karate lessons. I give it 16/10
I was in middle school when this record came out 1983, my favorite song of all time!
It really is something special
Be sure to watch them sing it at the Hall of Fame 2019....emotional
When I was a kid, I scratched my arms all up on the road saving this album from being ruined.
Great save. 🎉
❤️DEF LEPPARD FIREVERRRR 💙 LOOOVE THIS BAND AT ALMOST 7O 😃 BEAUTY OF HAVING 7Os & 8Os KIDS ❤️ 💙
I had a mad crush on Joe Elliott. Would stay up all night watching MTV just to see Def Leppard. Great memories, love the 80'S.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Can someone please bring back the f**king 80's! Help me Doc brown your my only hope!
If stranded on an island with only a turntable and a set of speakers, Pyromania is one album that I would choose to bring along.
Just played this at midnight to bring in 2021 from Australia.
J E is painfully gorgeous in this one. My goodness
I was in high school from 84 to 88 and Def Leppard was my favorite band for sure! I did not fully appreciate or even know just how much of a huge salute to Marilyn Monroe that this song was. Only recently did I become aware of her amazing contribution to film or even know just how huge of a movie star she had become in her day. This video only makes me love these guys even more than I already did. Def; You guys are the best!!! thank you so much for your music to us all. You rock the house!!!
I was 7 but i still remember this classic
Great Sound Song ... ... ... ❤❤❤
This song will NEVER get old!
I was 11 in the Summer of '83, & that year will always hold a spot in my memory bank because of this song!
This song was HUGE that Summer...
Where I was outside 'playing' with the neighborhood friends, swimming, or walking to my friend's house up over the hill off of a busy road! Listening to music from our albums or cassettes, and maybe watching a few classic shows like Three's Company, or Lavern & Shirley, in between Family Ties and Cheers! But, riding bikes for miles, and rollerskating in between just to name a few fun activities that occurred, only touched the surface of that Summer of '83!
With the times as different as they were, those memories are what gets me through the times of today!
out of curiosity which state did you live in ?
Was the same age when it came out, i was blown away by the sound of the guitars.
Same!! I was 11 and I used to roller skate 🛼 around my grandparents basement blasting this song on cassette- your comment triggered this awesome memory!! Thanks for sharing ❤
Absolutely one of the greatest rock songs ever!!! Phil Collen made the DT-555 Destroyer a iconic guitar. Def Leppard was my second favorite rock band behind Van Halen, now they are my favorite since Van Halen is no more. Absolute f**kin legends!!!
My all time favorite song. God bless Def Leppard!
40 years ago eternity but still like yesterday 😊
First time I heard Pyromania was my best friend's brother playing "Too Late For Love," on his guitar, while playing the tape, in 1983/84. I was hooked!!
Even though this song already is very popular, I would still say it's underrated
"Photograph" was Pyromania's first single, and was also Def Leppard's first single to reach No. 1 in the US Billboard Rock chart. The music video, directed by David Mallet, featured Phil Collen's video debut.
I've loved you since I was 17 :) Just turned forty-five and still lovin' ya! :)
+Yvonne Marie Jackson Def Leppard's new song Let's Go is amazing!
+Jennifer Minor Thank you Jennifer, I"ll have to give it a listen! :) Have a great day and Thanks again! :)
My favorite band ever. No good song today like this 🤔👍
Yvonne, you looking very good for 45 years woman! 🤔👍. THEY WILL BE THE MOST COOL GROUP FOREVER 🙂
i'm turning 19 on august this year and im lovin' this song too!
Def Leppard will probably never see this but I’m 11 and they were my main inspiration to learn guitar I’ve been playing for a year now I’m pretty good for a 11 year old thank u Def Leppard and other 80s hair bands for being my inspiration
A time machine back to 1983. senior year, 3 months away from bootcamp. Ahhh, sweet memories. This song brings back the good memories.
11Stucat lol, first time I heard this was my first night home from Marine Boot Camp. MTV.
Thank you for your service bro!!!
Thanks for your service sir🇺🇸
YOOOOOO thanks for your service my guy!!!🙌
I’m 11 and my favorite band is Def Leppard. My parents introduced me to it since they grew up listening to it. I especially love this song, I even made a song ID in roblox so me and my friends can listen while playing. 😆
I went to the Def Leppard Concert in Nashville, TN and they performed Photograph. Great Concert!! Great Time!!
Now this is British Rock!
Thumbs up if anyone remembers this video having a 9-week reign on MTV's Friday Night Video Fights.
It's my 1st CZcams comment, pleased that it is for this band n' song. Rob Halford called it "a gr8 melodic moment!" The Leppard were taking a break from writing, they couldn't finish Photograph & ended watching the world cup, Spain 82. Steve was still writing in the other room & he came storming in "I've got it, I've got the bridge!".....(this was for Photograph). I met Phil 3 times & the first time I said to him "Phil im still trying to nail the solo for Photograph," he air guitared back! \m/
I remember hearing this in 1983. I was so surprised to learn they're British, this is such an American style & sound.
I hung out with all of them in 1983. I was in high school and a big fan. I heard a girl at school say her mother was a maid and DL was staying at the hotel she worked at. I drove to the hotel and saw a big bus out front that said females wanted in the front window. I saw Joe walking to the bus. He was meeting some lady to do an interview. He was super cool with me and we hung out for a long time. He let me take a bunch of pictures with him in front of the bus. Later that night after the concert, the whole band was hanging out by the pool. Steve Clark was hanging in the hotel bar most of the time. I got autographs from each of them. We hung at the pool area for a long time that night. I stayed at that hotel that night. In the morning I watched them get on their bus to leave. They all said good by to me. Rick Allen put his arm around me and said take care mate. I took a lot of pictures. I had them developed and brought them to school and everybody freaked out. That was a long time ago. Somehow over the decades I lost those photos and their autographs. I really wish I had them now.
Thank you Los Santos Rock Radio for bring me to this amazing song.
My first song listened to in 2021! 🥳
Music is such a nostalgic trip back:)
Besides Hysteria, this is their best song
Why does 80s music sound nostalgic to me I must of been a teen in the 80s in my past life
Def you never let me down....
3:32 gave me chills💯
WHEN IT ALL BEGAN, 50s - COOKIE AND THE CUPCAKES AND OTHERS, ON TOO THE SCENE ELVIS, AND THEN THE 60s - THE STONES, LED ZEPPELIN AND OTHERS AND THEN THE 70s -- KISS , QUEEN, AND THEN VAN HALEN CHANGED THE SOUND WHICH INCLUDES THE GUITAR AND MOTLEY CRUE AND OZZY!!! THESE ARE MOST OF THE GREATEST, HARD ROCK AND ROCK HARD!!!
This Def Leppard song is so godly
Def Leppard's homage to Marilyn Monroe is one of the great rock songs of the 80s and of all time.
I love how over the years the song ( in concert ) has totally changed around to photographic memories of them ,and us too in a way ,together that have been there over the years. I truly appreciate it and they never, ever forget Steve.I remember standing in line to see Joan Jett in 1981 and heard Bringing On The Heartbreak . From that moment on WOW..almost 35 years now .Photograph is my fave and is always so bittersweet when they play it live. My daughter now plays it for me on her various guitars when she buys or tries a new one.
On Steve's anniversary I loved how they used this in a flashback video of him. Steven Maynard Clark gone but not forgotten. 💔
I remember the original MTV broadcast.
Old Goat.
Freaking awesome classic! Still got this album! On cassette of course!✌😎👍
Rick Beato makes the great point how unusual it is for a song to back off on the chorus by getting sonically quieter by going to the clean channel like this song does. However, it works amazingly well, making the song legendary imho.
How does this video only have 277K views?????!!!!!
Glad I'm not the only one listening to this!
I love them so much
what a cool guitar solo
Cadê os Br em 2023, ouvindo essa música massiva enorme da banda Def e pura nostalgia...🔥🙌⚡
Still AWESOME!!!!
i heared that song in Gta online 7 years ago und i fell in love with it🥰
Youre such a great Band 🥰
Pyromania!!!! Great Album....
One day I walked home from getting off the bus in Middle School. I turned on MTV and saw this for the first time. One moment, one song, changes everything.
Long live Def Leppard.
Who is listening 2024?
This song is so well done & sung,
It has a modern flare to it..
It fits in every decade since it's release.
In 2021, it sounds like it was just now released..
Like gosh dang man...
The song can go in any era..
It's just so dang good
The first Def Leppard song I ever heard and the first video by Def Leppard I have ever seen. Had a friend that always said they sucked, but he "used" to like them. I was hooked the second I heard the riff. Had to have more Def Leppard!
Danny Jingu you have never heard pour some sugar on me before

Great tune.
This song came to me at time when everything was about to change for me. Junior year, I'll never forget. Classic.
