Craft a bunch of simple axes (like 20 of them), bandages, and tiki torches early on... you will use them and it will get your crafting to 3. Also use Fish Stew before crafting to boost the rate you level crafting skill.

Using H to equip shield is genius
@@davidwilliams7552 a friend gave me that tip, but you need to make sure your armor doesn’t slow you down.
We need to be able to hot key between bow/shield/2 handed

why they stopped with 5 hotkeys is beyond me
No clue, but a hot key to equip the shield and still carry the bow would be great. Thanks for watching.
