I started this channel to highlight the incredible style of House music that came out of NYC back around the year 2000. Since that time current releases of dance music have paled in comparison to what was being released back then. It’s my goal to bring to attention this style of music and help revive it so we can enjoy hearing these wonderful sounds again. If you were part of discovering this music back then and have reconnected with it again I’m really gratified to have helped assist you. If you are discovering this music for the first time I’m really glad to have introduced you to it.
‘MHR’ stands for Melodic House Renaissance. I’d say this music is in need of a good Renaissance right about now.
I have plans to start a new record label (MHRrecords) and get new music created by hiring the people who made these great tracks. If we can get enough support and people willing to purchase the new tracks who knows what the possibilities will hold for this music. Please subscribe and follow at the links above to get the latest developments. Also tell your friends and others who might be interested in this genre. If we all stick together we can make this happen!
Please email me at the above address if you want to chat about this music.
Thank you very much!
I really miss this era of music and clubbing
Agree this era of dance was incredible
same!
Nobody does a mix like Hex Hector!!!!!🔥🔥🔥
Amazing hypnotic remix
When talent wasn't limited. The dance floors where packed, people came together and danced and enjoyed life. Everthing had a meaning, joy was felt all over, these moments where the best ans where lived to the fullest. Those days are just memories now but there is no stoping me from reliving those good old days! Greatest era for dance music and best DJs ! ! ❤
I found it! I would be leaving the club and this song would come on and I would run back to the dance floor! I miss those days!
Omfg this song would have me tearing up the dance floor at Colosseum Sayreville NJ and Shampoo Philly
Brings me back to SF 2000-2005. When djs’ did a good ass job on club mixes. These are what club mixes should be.
20 years later I swear my E is kicking back in just listening to this. RIP Roxy NYC.
Lol right
Omg flashbacks bring them I’d say.
Stunning 🎉
This track was one of my all time favorites from this producer...he had this totally amazing ability at creating these huge dance anthems, the dance floor would just be totally alive when his music was on. Angie Stone....I wish I didn't miss this so much! Brought back a flood of amazing memories, this was the era of real house. thank you for posting this, a real treat to listen to once again!
So many great tracks from back then. Everything released today sounds like garbage and is not on par with what was being churned out back around the year 2000.
Club Salvation on South Beach
I preferred the Pound Boys Stoneface Bootleg Remix, endlessly played and so soulful!
Hex Hector, Barry Harris, Chris Cox. No one packed the dance floors with anthems like they did.
Epic floor fillers. Great times!
Right?! No one! 💯
Don’t forget victor caldrone, Peter rahoulfher, oh the late 90s - 2003
@@markmenez4097 Peter rahofer? His remixes were insane. Every remix was solid.
@@markmenez4097 you forgot Junior Vasquez.
I cry every time I hear her
And I have friends asking me why I do not like EDM... I always answer... I like to dance dude! I danced to this song so much back in the day...
I agree the club tunes today dont compare to the late 90's early 2000's tunes!! love this era :)
+HIGHWAY 2 HELLZ It was the best era. Nothing compares to it. I want to bring this style back and was really close to doing so. Not sure if you were subscribed to my previous channel but it was shut down in March. I was in talks to hire a House music producer so he could get a new Anthem style track made. But without the previous channel it wasn't feasible to get done as without all the previous subscribers I wouldn't have gotten enough sales of the track. It really all boils down to that. If enough people would buy any new tracks I would get made, the music could go on and on and on and on.
I like them too, but to be fair, I've noticed a LOT of the dance hits from that era used the melodies of 70s era disco songs. This one, for instance, used the one from Backstabbers. So let's give credit where it's due. Godspeed.
Same. The mixes were excellent in this time. This song, Waiting For Tonight, I Turn to You, Cha Cha Heels, Some Lovin, all the Deborah Cox remixes,
@@cederico2222 Whitney - I learned from the best. Mary J. Blige, No more drama, Your child and He Think I don't know...🔥🔥🔥🔥
Reminds of of being ready to leave soundfactory at 8pm Sunday. This came on and ended up leaving at 1 am on Monday. 💣💣💣
Sounds like a Halloween Party
You just feel this! Yes!!!
The Sound Factory 9 a.m. Sunday morning. Assateria Sunday night Monday morning. Real music, real djs, people and fun.
so SF 9am lol Assateria discoteq Morillo
everytime i hear this song it reminds me of my friend Dorene. I hope she not dead. From the first time i heard this song i thought about her. lost touch. i hope and wish her well many blessings to her and her family.
I believe what makes this song unique is the addition of the sample background of "Backstabbers" which ties in with the theme of this song about being betrayed by someone who thought could be loved.
Funky ride! ❤it.😊
just love this mix still today i will spin this mix in the clubs and the floor is packed
Salvation on south beach 2002
Reminds me of my Weekend Warrior days of clubbing. This was my jam.
ICONIC CLUB TUNE💖👍
Love her ❤❤❤❤❤❤
good mix too. Hex Hector always knows how to remix a already good song then makes it better. I so much remember him at The Lengendary Limelight. He was like resident DJ there.
Instantly lit my soul on fire! UH-MAZING!

What an extraordinary piece of work. Just epic. Ludo Lacoste did a remix/ edit of this song called,”When You We’re Down” it’s so nice that this amazing track is back on the dance floor. Here is my “Extended” remix of his track: czcams.com/video/QYOvaFuHfzw/video.html

Hex Hector, Barry Harris, Chris Cox. No one packed the dance floors with anthems like they did.
Very true. Today's music is absolute garbage. I don't even buy music anymore hardly as nothing is worth it anymore.
yes! you are sure!
There's plenty of new music out there worth buying! Thing is, it's never mainstream, which is probably what you're referring to; modern radio music that sounds so basic you can hardly tell any of them apart.
peter g Made u feel good to be young and made you wanna get on the dance floor
