So often I am asked what the weather is like here in Bakersfield.
Does it get hot?
Does it rain?
Does it snow?
I thought I would make a quick video of a month by month break down of our weather here. Yes, it gets hot. Yes, we get rain. Yes, we have freeze warnings. But overall, our four seasons are fairly mild compared to other places like the South with lots of humidity or the MidWest.

They are both in the Central Valley so they have similar weather but Bakersfield is a lot drier and foggier in winter.
I love Bakersfield.... still wanting to move back!!

Ok, here's a question that's been on my mind since my friend from San Antonio Tx told me... Does it really smell in Bakersfield? Is it just in pockets, or all over? I'm hoping since she's from Texas, she doesn't have a clue; please fill me in! LOL :)
Hahaha! No worries. There are times when you CAN smell that we are an ag community and oil community, not gonna lie. But on a daily basis we do not have a smell, I can assure you. We are in a valley so people assume our air quality is extra bad, but that is not year round either. There are seasons when its not great for the sensitive groups should be outside, and then there are seasons when they can. Hope that helps!
