i have been meaning to make this for a while now but i was contemplating if i should wait for after the comeback but honestly? making this list would've been even harder then and trust me, it was already hard.

I like all of their bsides but Habit and Kidult just hits different. Also smile flower and us, again. Habit is just full of amazing vocals, Kidult hits different especially when you know that Seungcheol helped on writing it during his hiatus. Smile flower and us, again just makes me cry and I feel safe while listening to those songs.
basically all of them but good to me is definitely number one 😩✋

one of my all time favourite b-sides by seventeen has to be 'beautiful' from going seventeen (2016)!! it's such an adorable song and whenever they perform it they always says 'our carats are~? beautiful!' for the chorus and it's just so gosh darn sweet!! my favourite performance of it has to be during their diamond edge concert where they all had those colourful suits 🥺💛

I wouldn't quite call myself a Carat, but Seventeen has an amazing discography and I listened to Love & Letter a LOT back in 2016. Still Lonely has never left me. So glad you included it!

Someone FINALLY mentioned "I don't know" in a list of seventeens bsides, I swear it's criminally underrated by carats. Woozi and Seungkwans emotion in the chorus is so raw and powerful I always get moved to tears and then Vernon's rap?!?! Daydreaming in the midst of the night, tattoo this on my forehead. It's a hidden jem of a bside and it's a shame we only got one performance of it

Same dream, same mind, same night makes me feel full of bliss and calm. Its arrangement reminds me of Whitney Houston's style and i love it. The intro gives me goosebumps every time i listen to it. Light a flame is so smooth and sensual. Heaven's cloud is literally heaven. Some of the best b-sides i've ever heard.
the one that i like about seventeen discography is that some songs are contradictive between the sound and the meaning of the lyrics. like still lonely, its as if they telling us that if we're lonely, we should make it fun (hence, the use of funky and groovy melody)

If you asked mine, I will choose Kidult, Same Dream Same Mind Same Night, Trauma, Lilili Yabbay and I wish - I have been consistently come to these. Kidult hits hard to me like I am struggling with it right now, SDSMSN - the vocals just proved again their top tier vocals, the arrangements is just so cheff kiss! Trauma - another slap to me, I feel so deep when they told their stories, Lilili Yabbay - seeing the dance is so top tier choreo, the smooth the techniques their used, I wish - its just cherry on top in my heart! And SVT's B-Sides are actually same level with their Title Tracks!

svt's bsides are all masterpieces that deserve to he preserved in a museum and i love them all sm but something about bsides like thinking about you, holiday, odihtd, and especially beautiful (god i love this bside sm it's literally my child) hit different for me.
idk ig soft and comforting songs are my type but it's fun to imagine hanging out with your friends while staying overnight at a beach resort while roasting marshmallows and having these type of songs playing in the background 😌💞

Fun fact: all these b sides are actually what made me stan seventeen
my fav b-side is lie again. the way it connects to don't wanna cry surprised me at first. the way it's a slower tempo-ed song with more healing than not lyrics makes it really unique. don't wanna cry is obviously one of their most popular releases, and it's about a significant other leaving out of nowhere and the first person pov not wanting to be upset about it, but they can't help it cause they love them so much. lie again is the "sequel" because the person singing is finally getting over the heartbreak when the person who left during dwc actually came back. the lyrics of lie again are pretty much saying that they don't want them back (as a love interest) even though the person who left during dwc did come back, because they've fallen out of love with them. after all the time of them being gone, the first person pov got over the heartbreak, and even though they still love the person who left them they know it's not a romantic love, more of a platonic kind of relationship, and they don't want to lie to them by telling them the words the want to hear. they know how bad the pain hurts of getting lied to (tb to dwc when the initial love interest left without a trace) and with knowing that pain, they don't want that person, who ran away, to feel it. because they do still love and care about them.
