    I made a batter with a copper wire and an alumanum wire into salt water and it makes 0.8 volts so i think submerged batteries do better but its the same principle

    Las problemas que podemos ver son :-
    1/ el contacto al aluminio. Esto puede ser arreglado con uno de estos soldadores de puntos (spot welders) que usamos para baterías de litio
    2/ El contacto al carbon. No se como puede solucionar esto pero un idea puede ser a pelar mas centímetros de cable y poner como un abanico sobre todo la placa.
    3/ Corrosión. Aluminio y cobre en una medio conductivo debería resultar en corrosión rápido del aluminio. Creo que será mejor si las conexiones esta fuera del la celda, es decir que dejar una cola de aluminio fuera y conéctalo allí.

    the problem of that are how long the life of electricity given and the life of material like the paper with a short life

    conecte 10 celdas en serie utilizando champo como electrolito, me arrojo 3.16V ; corriente : 34.4 uA el tamaño de la celda era 2Cm^2, quería saber si hiciste mas pruebas y saber resultados; me interesa el tema

    Would regular powdered charcoal just work instead of activated charcoal I'm wondering

    • @aomanchutube
      @aomanchutube Před 4 lety +2

      I bet so because here the carbon is not really doing much in terms of surface area. The advantage of surface area is limited by the aluminum.

    • @aomanchutube
      @aomanchutube Před 4 lety

      But you probably need it to conduct, the salt does a good job at that probably.

    • @aadhithvarathan5432
      @aadhithvarathan5432 Před 3 lety +1

      Regular charcoal does not conduct electricity and thus, will not work. Even activated carbon needs to be mixed with graphite powder for it to work. Mixing regular charcoal with graphite powder and a binding agent also works, but will not give much current.

    • @simonlinser8286
      @simonlinser8286 Před rokem +1

      it does but it depends on what type, and activated charcoal will always have a higher surface area porosity etc which increases the number of charge holding sites in the material

      it is not possible to recharge, the aluminum react with the air, corroding the material.

      @minecraftermad Před 3 lety +1

      @@kennethsitcharon4287 it's technically possible according to what i looked at from electrolyzing aluminium oxide back to aluminium but the problem is going to be the depositions of the aluminium. so this design? no. some other designs might be tho.
