That's how Python 2 coders felt when Python 3 came out😂
The syntax is very similar lol not rlly
@PARER'S PLACE it's not learning it, it's applying it.
@PARER'S PLACE the syntax is simple, but to apply it into projects requires thinking a lot of thinking.
@PARER'S PLACE this is true, I spent three months to try to build my first project (a TicTacToe game) and I am still struggling.
@PARER1how did you become a millionaire?
He certainly isn’t a millionaire by doing software engineering but the way that software engineering has taught him to think has probably helped outside of the industry
lotta people never become millionaires just through their jobs, he prolly invested it or started his own business.

Many people think computing is only software. Learn hardware too.
For data management and good processing speeds they need to learn about hardware.dont know much but that is what i think one of the many reasons
Na
Hardwares are more important than softwares. It takes time to learn hardware whereas software you can master one language in a week or less than that.
@@SenaZephyrYeah no. No such thing as mastering a language.
@@SenaZephyrLanguages arent really the main focus in cs, data structures, algorithms turing machines, analysis of functions and allat is more important. But obviously you should be able to code.
it's not the language, it's the way how you think about solving problems.
yah thats true....software engineering is an everchanging field...languages get obsolete each day
Indeed
The computer world has shifted more into cloud engineering and database recently. It's not healthy to stick to one language and do everything on there so I like to alternate between Python and C# when making projects, sometimes C.
@@flyorfloat never tried C...must be a hustle working with C

true at any time a language can die or be replaced
UNLESS ITS JAVA
who tf uses java bro ☠️☠️☠️🗿🗿🗿
@Cookies Microsoft change it to C++
A lot of banks. J.P. Morgan uses it for a lot of their systems.
@@richardparker123 bc of it static purpose. Many applications today required to be static but there are many static languages can do the job as well. If Bank went with dynamic, they're will lose ton of money due to data breach from hackers.
Java isn't the only static languages. Many companies don't do Java anymore bc of sun/oracle actions in the past hence it's dying. So, they're relayed on another static language to avoid any conflicts. We don't see Twitter using Java and any other modern applications as well 😉
C++, and javascript can't get outdated , unless you are in data science you may not use it that much then
@@broadestsmilerbullshit I still use C language
no language ever dies, considering a plenty of organizations are still using decade old systems, so we all know shit ain't dying

@@Bruiser03 Piece of advice #1: If you don’t know anyone that is at a software engineering company/in a role, then you need a degree. That’s the biggest one.
@@Nik-rx9rj ok bro
Specialization in C++ is worth it. Its a staple in software industry.
Going into MIS degree first because I don’t think I can handle computer science right now and want a safer open which is more open. I might try a masters for computer science or IT or cyber after this degree
Is it that related to management iformation systems? If so, I’m going into it too. I was going into CS before but I find it too hard with the math so I’m doing something with less math. But I also have lots of concerns with computer information systems. May I ask how you like it so far
Buddy just got to slow dancing while talking! 🤣 I promise no more questions. If that was the goal of the slow dance it worked 😅
I was encouraged to learn about Computers in High School and then in College Computers were necessary for Statistics and Econometrics and there are a never-ending list of uses and applications for computers. Ev en modern day phones are extensions of memory, microchips and computerization.

@Anon maybe in the US but not in the UK lol
@Anon engineering jobs dont pay a lot here, its like 30k for graduates which isn't too bad in comparison to other fields but average salary is probably like £40-50k
This is software engineering industry lol, not computer science. Computer Science is about designing, using, optimizing algorithms and data structures, it’s about logic and discrete math. If you’re coder and sit around all day using your coding skills for business purposes it’s not computer science, it’s software engineering
this guy is probably application developers. Framework developer 1000% needs language expertise to create highly abstracted interface.

Just learn a language for generic use but also learn one for something specific. People usually pay way more for a specific job.
Languages being outdated every two years? Not even short of true. Maybe frameworks but not entire languages.
I work in IT and went to college for computer science. Python, batch, bash, JavaScript, Java, and PowerShell are all commonly used in IT and have been around for years. The tools you use might change, but entire languages don’t switch out that fast.
I agree lmao they’ve been used for 20+ years they’re not going anywhere
Yup! Established Corps are not going to spend millions to switch to the flavor of the week.
Just do something that you love
Like what? You get paid for work because it's something you wouldn't otherwise do in your free time.
Focus on making that mf bread off the software dev job and taking care of your family and yourself, everything else is bs and doesn’t matter
Haha Up to date is Chat GPT.
Lol the last one is horrible advice. If anything specialize is what you should do. No the language you pick will not be obsolete in 2 years. People still code in C, C++, PHP, JavaScript, Haskell, Cobol, and many more languages and those are 20+ years old.
Software engineers are treated like corporate slaves tbh. Go into Systems Engineering or something not software engineering lol.
I am a Computer Science teacher.
When would python be obsolete 😂?
2 years? Lol
If it’s ever changing doesn’t that mean it’s unstable?
no, computers are the future

Can anyone help me with the doubt i have:
Actually i did btech in ece, i had a long gap dur to some family reasons. To get back to work i need some experience or some raw data. I thought of going to CS/AI/IT/data science field to pursue masters. Can anyone tell the difference?? And which is better field to go?? Pros and cons too.
Sounds like computer scientist who gave up and decided to go for software engineering. Anything we call obsolete means we gave up and don’t want to go extra mile to find new patterns and design algorithms and data structures that could’ve been game changing
Why do people think he’s anything to do with computer science, software development, or even a millionaire?

make sure to avoid QA or bullshit QA test automation job
Why? I'm a software engineer recently laid off but having a hard time getting a job. It's been 2 months now and unfortunately I'm considering QA to expand my job search
@@Priva_C It's ok, but make sure u can transition back to dev again. I don't like QA jobs because I often work with QAs who really don't understand how to test or design test cases and don't know how to organize a test suite, leading to some unnecessary and messy processes. Most of the time, when it comes to automation testing, QAs lack basic coding skills. So, I feel like the QA team doesn't contribute to making the product better.
Which job when I want my silence from society?
I'm learning C++ and that shit has been used for literally decades. So what he's saying isn't true. But yeah, don't follow trends.
AMEN
Programming language going « obsolete » ? Happens very rarely. Industry adoption may decrease, hence job offers but that’s it. Choose 2 big names on the list that are different but complementary and you’ll be fine for years and years. Try another language once a year if you got time but keep digging what you’re proficient with (and like). Frameworks, libs, tools etc yeah they go obsolete. We should be framework-agnostic.
Anyway we don’t get really rich just coding.
He looks 50 and homeless 🤔
millionaire, what this guy paid off his house or something
Is college necessary for this? Need real advice cause I have just enough money to go to a good college.
College is not nessecary getting into it. While getting into it with completely no professional experience will be a difficult time I would start off with certifications to get your foot into the door I say study up for a comptia a+ for like a helpdesk job then you could start learning coding with the help of coworkers and studying
