This is the nature of the business, especially in hockey. I would be willing to say this kind of thing is going on in most hockey broadcast booths. And this isn't their first rodeo as a team. They've done numerous national games together. I would think John has enough pull to have given a thumbs up or thumbs down to anyone the organization may have wanted to bring in his booth so if he had any serious issues with Ed prior to it, I don't think he'd be there. That's my opinion anyway.
I’ve worked with both John and Ed and they’ve always been pleasant with a strong sense of camaraderie with all involved. The title is misleading at best and displays a little ignorance about what goes on in a professional hockey broadcast booth.

What happened here is a perfect example of why you should always remain calm, cool and collected during a TV broadcast, even when you think the camera and audio have been turned off. Very smart and professional of him. Forslund on the other hand should be dealt with by the producer. If he has an issue with what Eddie says, he needs to wait until after the broadcast is over to address it with him.

Edzo is a big ego guy in his way, but he is a good guy, and very happy to share the spotlight in the booth or even give it largely to the other guy in the booth. Last year when the Hawks started bringing in random awful people to fill in, there were some issues, but those seemed mostly due to Colby Cohen, who has issues w any partner.

The “pinhead” in the middle handled this matter with intelligence and professionalism! In broadcast TV, you never want to assume that the camera or the mic is off. You always keep your actions and your comments professional-as if you’re still broadcasting live. He did that; the other two did not! Kudos to him for remaining calm and quiet while the others aired their disagreement that ended up getting leaked to the public. Very unprofessional.

Forsland is one of the best palybyplay guys in hockey. being a Hawks fan, he was good with them because Pat Foley wouldn't stand for olcyzk talking over him ....i used to watch the Hurricanes games because of Forsland, i watched one Kraken game, that's it......
