Dawn stroll in Coventry, UK

Sometimes when I travel for work the only way that I manage to see anything of the place I’m in is to wake up early in the morning. I was in Coventry, UK for a conference and while it may not be a top tourist destination, the idea of walking the ruins during a sunrise appealed to me.
I woke for sunrise and left my hotel to have a walk around the town. It was very foggy, and I was a little sad as I had hoped for a pretty sunrise at the ruins. But the foggy mad it moody and in a way showed the colours of the stone even better.
From the Glass bridge over Lady Herbert’s Garden to the War damaged cathedral connected to a new cathedral this city was full of reminders of what was against new structures. I found Coventry a real mixture of old and new often with the two colliding together. It was a pretty walk I hope you enjoy this early morning walk as much as I did.
