Zemliya v illiuminatore, Zemlya v illyuminatore
    Zemlya v illiyuminatore vidna...
Kak syn grustit o materi, kak syn grustit o materi
Grustim my o Zemle - ona odna
A zvezdy tem ne menee, a zvezdy tem ne menee

I snitsya nam ne rokot kosmodroma
    Ne ėta ledyanaya sineva
A snitsya nam trava, trava u doma
    Zelenaya, zelenaya trava
A my letim orbitami, putyami neizbitymi
    Proshit meteoritami prostor
Opravdan risk i muzhestvo, kosmicheskaya muzyka
    Vplyvaet v delovoĭ nash razgovor
    V kakoĭ-to dymke matovoĭ zemlya v illyuminatore
    Vechernyaya i rannyaya zarya

The West was isolated from USSR/Russia culturally, but Russians knew (and still know) everything about the west. With a little search you can find a lot of funk, rock, 80s synth in all forms, disco and much much more… Already in the early 60s there was funk and jazz soundtracks played by Russian musicians and orchestras in the russian popular movies.
Also, it was mandatory in all soviet schools to teach english, french and german.

People seem to always remember the Soviet Union in Stalin's time. Forgetting that that wasn't at all what the Soviet Union was.
The 70s and 80s were the times, when the People of the Soviet Union dreamed about space travel, about being friends with the Americans. Yes, every single Russian wanted to be friends with the US so we could go to space faster. While the American people(not all but most) often looked at us as orcs, enemies of the world. The Soviet people were kind and naive people. And for that, we paid the price of losing the Union. Now, all we can think about is the future that will never come.

Idiotic leadership made Soviet people naive. After Stalins death and with Khrushchevs treasonous speach against Stalin the base of Soviet society was disturbed in the roots. Revisionism became tolerated and with it began degradation of USSR. And yet in spite of all that USSR couldve still exist today if CPSU wasnt sabotaged from within. Kuusinen brought Andropov. Andropov ( Fleckenstein ) brought plague known as Misha Garber aka traitor Gorbachev. With the help of top leadership from KGB gorbachev destroyed willingly USSR and socialism in Europe and made Soviet women cheap whores for the west while Soviet men struggled to survive from day to day. The most depressing thing about all of that is that this inhumane scum was never put to trail for his evilness even though it was demanded in Duma several times. The Putin protects that traitor still today. Russian people have no say in this.

Poetic english for anyone (Not a translation by any means, but meant to convey the song to native english speakers without literal translation becoming a problem)
    Earth out a rocket window,
    Earth out a rocket window,
Earth out a rocket window can be seen.
    Like, son who misses mother,
    Like, son who misses mother,
We miss the Earth, because its where we've been.
    But stars still nevertheless,
    But stars still nevertheless,
Are growing closer, but are forever cold.
And like in times of darkness,
And like in times of darkness,
We wait for light, and Earth's dreams to unfold!
We do not dream of outer-space kosmodromes!
-Or of this freezing, dark, aquamarine!
We dream of grass that grows outside of our homes!
-A greener grass, a grass thats always green!
    And as we orbitally fly,
    Through all ways unidentified,
Quick asteroids do streak and strafe our paths!
For all our risks are justified,
And with this music from the sky,
It flows into our business talk and laughs!
Some kind of haze is lingering,
Earth out that window sings to me,
It's the evening and the earliest of dawn!
    Like son who misses mother,
    Like son who misses mother,
She waits for us, because to her we're drawn!
We do not dream of outer-space kosmodromes!
-Or of this freezing, dark, aquamarine!
We dream of grass that grows outside of our homes!

Жили мирно вместе...Были достижения, были цели.... А что теперь? Война.
Эхххх, надеюсь, скоро это всё закончится, и будем вместе как это было раньше!!

I love this song while being able to think and see the amount of advances humanity made over the years, especially in the USSR as well as the USA.

    Lyrics for our English-speaking friends:
Earth in window, Earth in window,
The Earth is visible in the window.
Just like a son miss his mother, x2
We miss the Earth, she is the one.
    But the stars nevertheless, x2
A little closer but are as cold as ever.
And just like in hours of eclipse, x2
We wait for light and see the Earthly dreams.
    Chorus:
And it's not the cosmodrome's roar we see in our dreams,
    Not this icy blueness.
We dream of grass, grass outside our homes,
    Green, green grass.
We fly by orbits, by paths less travelled.
The space is stitched with meteors.
Well justified are the risk and courage,
The music of Space barging in our business talk.
In some kind of matte haze the Earth in the window,
Evening dusk blends with early dawn.
And son is missing his mother, x2
Mother is waiting for her son,
And the Earth is waiting for her sons too.
    Chorus x3
